This isn’t the place to talk vaccines and honestly, neither of us should be forming an opinion based on something an anonymous internet commenter writes.

But, I would point out to you to the parallel to short term suffering to long term gains that this entire discussion forum is predicated on may also apply in this case. Depending, of course, on what you deem efficacious.

    be well.

I'm definitely not anti gear. I think there is a yuuuge misconception on taking "a little T" and it magically makes someone big, strong, and recover quickly. A few folks on here know way more than I do on the topic..

@weldertaco you are ambitious and that's awesome! Don't fade away like a shooting star..

I’m still learning a lot about it. Gonna talk to a doctor and see what they think and see how the blood work comes out and all that. And I’m trying man. Only 27 so I got about 13 more years until I’m done in the sport if I keep going. Plenty of time to make the gains slowly and safely!

It's possible. With me my natural levels had dropped to 270ng/dl.... So if I come off my natural levels will likely never be over that anyway. Not much to worry about if already that low.

Most GOOD Drs will do a lot more than just these. That's why I recommended that test to him, or to have a Dr do those. He needs to rule out anything else that could cause low energy, and/or fix that first before hopping on hormones. A complete baseline while natty so he compare how everything changes while on trt is important. At minimum needs CMP, Lipid, Thyroid, Vitamin D, Cortisol, CBC, Renal Panel, and Estradiol to know what his starting point is so he can monitor everything.

This. Start low and get blood work before/after changing anything. Also split the shots up twice weekly to keep things more level.

Also since we're on the subject. Trt is not going to help THAT much with gains, especially if you're sleep/recovery/training/nutrition isn't on point. TRT is therapeutic and more for well being and energy. It's not something that's going to drastically increase muscle mass and make you huge. Unless your "TRT" is 400mg a week....

    Be well

If it’s going to be used for solely ruling out causes of low energy then good news, he has already said he doesn’t get enough sleep, who knows what training and nutrition look like. Problem solved, saved hundreds on tests and trt meds. You’re welcome. Follow me for more financial advise.

So you’re going to try taking a little test for more energy? I hear coke helps without messing your natural test levels up.

I am curious, about how much a month are we looking at to run a little TRT. I get the impression its not super cheap.

As others have stated, you have to get T levels well outside of the normal physiologic range to have substantial impacts on mass and strength.
With that you are risking long term health impacts, fertility, and you will need to be on TRT long term.

When you are talking simple TRT to boost your levels a bit, you will not be able to overcome sleep deprivation, poor diet, and lack of training.

As much as the ignorant want to preach roids are a short cut, the opposite is true. It requires more work and more dedication to run gear. If you aren’t putting it in now a shot in the ass won’t magically change your life.

One thing I have had to learn over the years is having grace for myself and understanding I have other priorities in life than being the absolute best at a sport.

You are married with a kid. Would you give them up just to win a Mr. Olympia?

In life we set priorities and its ok no matter which one you choose.

    Life is about balance.

Hope what I’m saying makes sense. Nothing wrong with choosing gear, just have realistic expectations.
(And I only have experience with TRT from docs not for sport use).

Seriously though report back on what you do, I’m curious.

I’m talking circumventing insurance because there is no established medical need. So this is all done outside physician scripts.

Going rate for 10ml/100mg per ml vial of test c is between $50-75.

200mg a week is pretty standard trt. So about $50-75 for like 5 week supply.

Add in your estrogen control. Arimidex is around $75 for 50 1mg pills. Usually like 2mg per week so that would last 25 weeks ish?

Ok yeah but don't do 300-400mg per ml unless you have A LOT of experience. High dose test like that fuckin hurts and on most people will cause massive swelling and lumps after injection. I first tried 400mg/ml and that fucked me up bad. Way too much hormone and to keep it stabilized it takes a lot of carriers/alcohols that will hurt like a bitch.

Honestly if you do any kind of “steroid” without regular check ups or doctor supervision then you’re just an idiot lol

I have never dosed/gear'd up, nor had any desire to, but the above advice is great and is always a good sanity check on what your are doing to make sure you are treating a cause and not a symptom (of life).
