Have you guys actually found that physicians are helpful in overseeing your use?

In my limited experience I have found most physicians to be incredibly unhelpful with TRT. I had a doc that put me on it when I didn't need it and couldn't get the damn dose right so honestly I just felt like shit. IDK I probably wouldn't trust any physician to help me with it unless thats what they did was work with strength athletes.

I've just seen a lot of bufoons out there, but that was many years ago so maybe it's gotten better?

Unfortunately, outside of being genetically blessed and conditioned young, there are no cheat codes for getting great at a sport.

Can't build a strong house on a weak foundation. So you need to have the solid foundation built before you attempt to grow on it or you really don't get anywhere.

I have too many things in my life I like I can’t pick one so I get truly great at nothing. Which is fine I guess.

Now if I used gear I could maybe better balance because of improved recovery. Which is the reason I’d go for it.

It’s a mute point at this point lol. I’m gonna get blood work done and talk to a sports doctor and see what we can get started on. I’ll post about my experience for those curious. It’s just a little bit of test. It’s not a life threatening thing or the end of the world. I’m not gonna go blasting anything crazy. I don’t drink or smoke or really have any unhealthy habits besides a sweet tooth. So if this is the worst thing I put in my body then im okay with that

There is nothing medically wrong with running TRT when you know the risks and monitor properly.
Its only a risk when you have a bad healthcare provider or don’t know the risks.

    I wouldn’t be overly worried.

Just out of curiosity, what does a normal training week look like for you?

Real question, if your levels come back as within range, will you still go on? I only ask because semantics aside there is a difference between TRT and being on gear. A lot of folks call it TRT as it’s easier to digest that concept. I think you need to make sure you know what you want…an approximation of your body’s natural best (I.e., TRT) or being better than you could ever be (gear outside of “normal” ranges). People talk about TRT as if it’s magic; it’s not…it’s better than low T and it’s closer to where you were when you were 20, but it’s not a silver bullet, and some folks can find themselves being pulled towards higher doses to find that magic bullet. The psychological risk of gear is way worse than the short term physiological risks IMO.

no judgement here, but something to think about is all.

HONESTLY, even if my levels aren’t terrible, I wouldn’t mind trying a small cycle just to really experience it. Now I’m saying this knowing I can catch flack and hate but it is what it is. But that being said, I don’t have an addictive personality trait so if it ends up being a bad time, I’ll come off it and just stay natty.

especially with having a blue collar job as a welder, I can’t get carried away with anything because I gotta be healthy to work. Can’t goto work if I tear a bicep or mess with something internal up.

You’re not going to catch hate. Main point is if your natural levels are within the normal range there is no reason to shut it down by replacing it still within natural range with a trt dose. If you’re always tired and fatigued it’s probably due to not getting enough sleep as you’ve said before. If you want to run higher than a trt dose, that makes more sense at your age. I would want to be a bit out of the normal high range lol.
Your natural levels are most likely fine.

No hate, it's all just about being honest with yourself and doing your own cost benefit analysis. And the "addiction" with gear is about how you perceive yourself. It can be hard going from someone who can lift x to someone who cannot any more...or someone who looks like x who now looks unremarkable again. Not trying to dissuade you, just maybe pointing out some stuff I know I've experienced...when something becomes a part of your identity, it's harder to give up and it's easier to travel down a slippery slope.

That said, it sounds like you have the right attitude about it all, so be safe and report back :)

Some great info today and real talk! Always interesting when people open that Pandora's box then 5 years from now don't even lift.. grass isn't always greener.. back to the old hard work, dedication, and consistency is the magic pill..

I'll buy you a beer or Pepsi and remind you how you once lifted for a couple of years but now you're 100% into rc cars thinking about putting nitrous on a tricked out Raptor model j/k... Go get it tiger, keep us all posted! Doug Flutie will be proud

    Hahahahaha that’s great.

I sold the Ford tho. Got offered too much to say no. Bought a FJ to go with the 4Runner we have.
I DID have a 2014 tundra that was Hooked to a bottle aka nitrous. It was fun for a bit.

When did you buy the FJ? In this crazy ass used car market?

We sold our house and are going to close on our new one soon. We actually bought a home in a new area that is a lot cheaper so we have some spare change left over. Hubby asked if I wanted to go back to a truck (married to the most wonderful person evar).

I thought about it for a moment but I'm not super excited to be buying a vehicle in this market right now :S. Especially a truck.

    hers and his

I searched for a few months but prices weren’t moving so I bit the bullet and paid more than I expected but it is what it is. The bright side is FJ’s aren’t produced anymore here so the value on them should only be going up. 2007 with 150k miles
