I wish I lived in an area with more snow and easy ski access. :(

    @Travish325
You mentioned that you use karbolyn in your intra workouts.

Is there a specific reason you chose that instead of cluster dextrin?

I'm trying to pick what I'm going to start adding to my endurance fuel for carbs and trying to decide between the two. Cluster dextrin is most common in endurance fuels, however it sounds like karbolyn is actually a more... glycemicly stable choice? Like it is fast digesting but it provides more stable blood sugar vs. the cluster dextrin.

Lol. I bet. I went to school near Buffalo so I remember the ground covered by at least 3 feet for months.

MD doesn't get anything like that. Occasionally we will get a decent snow, but this last one was almost entirely slush which felt super heavy. Did some deadlifting today and that shoveling paid off. I made it back to 225 today!

MA doesn't get it as bad as that usually but that year ugh..at least once a week and it was always a lot. I had upgraded my snowblower that summer and boy did it pay off. I had banks on each side of the driveway 8 to 9 feet high and it still threw the new stuff over. Scared me to death thinking about a bank maybe falling in on my truck or the Rav4

No, I have not. That should be a gym rule that may need to be pushed by the gym mgmt. No smoking or vaping!

This. I can't imagine it's not a state law in the first place so not even a facility specific

Yeah the town was the first in the nation to ban indoor smoking.
Being a 24/7 gym the 87 year old owner only shows up every once in a while

Cause it is fast digesting but it provides more stable blood sugar vs. the cluster dextrin lol I use the Karbolyn Fuel which is 50g carbs per scoop.

And because the carbs in it are derived from potato, rice, and corn which works better for me since dextrose carb mixes upset my stomach.

Thats right with what I read so i’m going Karblyn.

Given all of the above I don’t know why its never seen in endurance sports. Especially since GI issues are a common thing.

Endurance athletes arent the best group of people in regards to nutririon as a whole though lol.

    You recover from the vid?

Had to say the same thing to a guy a week ago. And he wasn’t using bumper plates.

He told me he didn’t want to waste energy on the eccentrics *eye roll*

Yeah this guy was using a DL bar and steel plates as well. I only cared cause everyone uses the equipment and DL platforms and it’s a dick move to ruin the stuff by being lazy
