Don't think I haven't tried..they complain about it but they're going nowhere, especially since my sister has the grandkids here

Should I just bite the bullet and blow the money on a Rogue stand, bench, and bumper plate set for the basement?

That's what I did (though I didn't go Rogue)...the uncertainty of it all was too much to manage; plus I've been wfh for almost 2 years now so leaving to go to the gym and come back was not the best option. I didn't think I'd like working out at home as much as I do...I miss a few things, notably dumbells, but creativity can take you pretty far in a garage gym.

I really like the gym atmosphere. I work from home and have the TMs down stairs. Outside of grocery shopping it's like the only time I leave the house right now LOL.

It's just a quality gym here is going to be super expensive for two people. I can get some decent equip for $2k. And with where we live now, and work from home, we are ready to sell one of the cars. So that easily covers it.

And honestly probably will be more willing to try stuff at home I won't at the gym because it's too much of a PITA to move stuff around the floor or someone else is using something.

If I lived in CA I would have bought my own stuff ASAP.

There are cheaper but similar/equal quality options for the rack and bumper plates. I would buy a Rogue bench, though. I have bought two used adjustable benches, neither of which I like. Although I am only in for $150 between the two of them, I should've just bought the Rogue to begin with.

Yeah, I work from home for the most part still also. If not for groceries and gym, I would just be that smelly guy in that freaky house down the block, occasionally peaking out a window. As such, not wanting to do the home gym thing. :)

That's how I feel. I think it would get depressing to not leave home. But then again it's winter... summer probably won't feel that way as much.

I've found a new balance to my life in the past 2 years of being home.

I'm still leaving the house during the week for meetings (1-2x), darts most weeks, so it's not like I never go out. I do so less in winter b/c I hate cold weather

That dude in the back got a band and wrapped it around the yoke and started stretching with it after I took this photo lmao. I didn’t even know what to say. Eventually his girl dropped a hint tho that he was being a dumbass lol.

Some people do the oddest stuff at the gym. Form is all off, doing exercises improperly, weird movements, over dressed like it’s some kind of fashion show, etc

That stuff used to get on my nerves...Not anymore though. I finally realized that they are just learning and I needed to keep my focus in my own camp. I’m a lot happier and enjoy the gym more now.

    This is sooo true!

I'm still new and trying to learn, and it's tricky receiving advice from people at the gym. In my pursuit to get my squat form correct, I noticed this week that guys who have offered input aren't using correct form.
