    Happy Friday Friday!

Friday is squat day. Just wanted to report that the last 2 weeks my form has greatly improved. I did some extra leg stretching to get my knees to follow angle of my feet and I tried using only 1 cue for the lift which I think helps my focus at the moment. (vertical path for the bar, the body will adjust)

Not super exciting for anyone here, but a good step forward in progress.

Fridays are leg days for me normally but since my weekend schedule is busy I had to move my Saturday run to this morning.
2 hour run with the tempo intervals the first half. Had to get up at like 4:30a to fit it in before work.

Does anyone here get fitness nightmares?

All last night I kept having a dream where I kept trying to do my workout but the treadmill kept breaking or someone kept interrupting me or people were using all the treadmills etc.

Don't have to be asleep for those nightmares. There's 1 deadlift platform and 2 squat racks at my gym. It's a great little gym and inexpensive, but I've definitely changed my plans due to unavailability.

I didn't fast the night before and did have a few drinks..not sure if that matters. I've been bad and have not been up to date on blood work. Over 13 years and I'm 43:(

Drinks the night before always makes mine slightly elevated. If you're worried get it rechecked after a week of no drinks and fasting prior

Damn I really used to spend like $200/month on pre workout and supplements whenever getting on Test is cheaper than that.

    Stuff. Also things.
Were you able to get it covered on your insurance?

I’m having a helluva time finding an in-network doc that isn’t basically anti-TRT despite having the subjective symptoms as well as the shitty numbers.

Anyone have tips on improving bench? Goal is 315lbs. Feeling like I’m plateauing.

    Current Stats:
    Age: 24
    149lbs body weight
    Current 1 Rep Max: 245lbs

    Bench Routine:
    Bench 2x a week

    Bench day #1:
    10x135
    8x155
    6x185
    4x205
    4x205
    Failure x 135

Add: Incline bench, cable flys, dips

    Bench Day #2:
    10x135 pause
    10x135 pause
    8x155 pause
    8x155 pause
    Failure x 135

Add: Incline bench, cable flys, and dips

I’m increasing top sets by 5lbs every two weeks or so.

    Diet:
    ~2300 cals per day
No strict tracking, just ensuring I eat enough protein and watch carbs.

    Supplements:
    None

    Workout Schedule:
    Monday: Chest and Cardio
    Tuesday: Bis and Back
    Wednesday: Legs
    Thursday: Chest and Cardio
    Friday: Shoulders and Tris
    Saturday: Legs
    Sunday: Rest

    Form:
Bodybuilding form, I use leg drive on top sets but mostly focus on using chest and triceps only.

    Goal: 1 clean 315 rep before I hit 30

Progress: One year max rep went from 155 to 245lbs.

Out of pocket. They let you handle it with your insurance if you decide to try and get them to cover it. But for $2,000 you get all the labs and T for a year.

I ended up talking to a couple bodybuilders at the gym and found who they go to. Legit doctor and nothing under the table but he’s a cool cause he is willing to go as high as you can safely go. The range for adults is 240-950 which is huge.

He treats anyone under 500 and will let you get up to the 900-950 number and ride it there and go past it as long as you stay on top of your blood work and all that.

I know it’s not a magical pill that’s gonna make me look like Ronnie Coleman tomorrow but it’ll be nice to have energy and recover faster. Body is beat the fuck up and wore out between manual labor job and the strongman lifts.

Curious if you do feel you get better recovery staying in the normal physiologic range. Report back in terms of where you started and where you end up and how you feel.
