those are pretty strong lifts for your weight then, despite what the others say about belts if you can use the belt and make your cns and muscle adapt to the motion better then by all means use it. i meansly use mine to increase intraabdominal pressure, and it works awesome.

I pulled a muscle in my neck last week. It had been hurting ever since...even doing stuff like squats and pullups. I finally looked up my symptoms after a week my and yep, pulled neck muscle. Im taking a week off to rest it :( Not to happy about that

I agree when I know my form is bad I usually drop weight. Or if its bad form I keep the weight same for the next time. I will admit sometimes Im so addicted to increasing weight that I go up if I know my form is bad for like the last two reps. I just hate how low my weight are with the length Ive been lifting.
I only do rippletoes 3x5 so its just squats for legs. Well and deads. I feel like im not doing enough because before some work outs would make it so hard to walk back to the dorms. Should I just stick with squats till my squats are strong before adding in iso?

I know how you feeling bro, im addicted to iron and weights, i get a lot of satisfaction from it, but since this cut i lost tons of reps like 3-5 on all my lifts and lost strength, i look good but i feel like shit lol

Here is an advice, i know you are going to hate it but it works, start your legs with isolation hypertrophy, quad extension, ham curl, hip absuction, 10-15 reps pre exhaust the legs and get that pump, then go hit compound 3x5,i promise you you legs are gonna be like wet noodles 20 mins after workout.

Chest day today, i swear i'll never lift with other people again, they just wanna keep talking.
Anyways, during this cut i manage to maintance strength on all my pulling and leg workouts. But pressing, esp chest and tri muscle groups, i really feel affected. they are still the same size or even bigger i will say, but i just feel weak doing pressing movements. just wondering if someone whos has been through this what are their thoughts.

    Explain your cut please.

When was the last time you trained chest?

How close to your workout did you eat carbs?

Are you doing light weights, high reps? What's the rep range?

maintance is 2700 cutting calorie is 2200. keeping protein the same lowering fats and carbs. carb reload day every sunday, same calories just up the carbs and down the protein and fats.

I train chest twice a week.

I train fasted then have first meal 1 hour after, been doing that for about 4 month now.

high weight low reps high # of sets

A cut phase is going to be more of a lower weight/higher rep range. If you train high reps, high weight twice a week, you will feel weaker on the second day. If you must train chest twice a week, go for the first day being a heavy weight day, then 2 days later train light weight, this will help to prevent over training.

Do you workout fasted? With an empty stomach? Or do you intake complex carbs prior to your workout?

I got myself Muscle Pharm Assault as a pre-work out. Tried a quarter scoop of it, and it took my usual mild work out to a moderate work out. This is my first time taking a pre-work out supplement, and I'm really glad I reacted to it well.

I'll increase a quarter scoop at a time until I find the right balance of intensity and control.

Anyone here tried Carb Cycling? I've been stuck at 12% B.F. for about a month now and for the life of me cannot drop anymore. Calorie deficit stopped working a while ago.. Ive been lifting heavy, HIIT x2 week, big bike ride on saturdays.

Thought I will give this new meal plan a shot, any thoughts?:
Mon: High Carb. (Chest, tri, +HIIT)
    Tuesday: Low Carb (back)
Wed: No Carb (off day) ..might do morning fasted cardio bike ride before work.
    Thurs: Low Carb (Shoulders)
Fri: Hi Carb (Legs + HIIT)
    Sat: No Carb. Rest.
Sunday: Low Carb. Indoor rock climbing/bouldering.

Thoughts??? Going to really try and add some fasted cardio. I know a lot of people cry MYTH with it, but a lot of guys cutting those last 3%bf swear by it. At this point I will try anything. Even myths if they are claimed to work by legit people.

So basically low carb all week and then a big refeed one day on the weekend?

A cut does not technically mean lower weight/higher reps..
