Thank you. I notice too that when I eat healthier I get hungry more often. When I lose some fat and get my strength back I may add in another meal a day. I don't mind getting a little bigger. As long as its clean. And yes I will have to forego the raspberry iced tea for unsweetened. Lol

Yep! Just remember diet is everything! If your diet is weak or nonexistent, you wont see any results from the gym. Gains and fat loss is made in the kitchen.

Holy hell so after kodiac said i should do more reps, i increased my 3x10 for squats to 4x10 :D lol man this shit aint no joke, 80% 1RM as usual, that for me is 380lbs. first 6 sets are a killer but still doable, the last 2 sets tho, holy shit i thought i was gonna die. on my 8th set, first two reps were hard as fuck!, 3rd rep is when i lost my hearing, 4th rep my vision starts to narrow. racked it, yep im going down lol sat in the bench for like 15 minute regrouping myself. gonna try again next week and see if i can at least get to set number 9. And don't wory i had a spotter and vision and hearing return to normal after 10 minutes.

Im gonna work cardio in, but I doubt full body exercises help that much with cardio, unless im missing something and ive been doing everything wrong

also, anyone got any recommendations for good gloves/wrist support?

Apparently i'm crushing/fucking up the joint in my wrist/thumb. Starting to lose range of motion due to pain.

bad genetics? maybe a 150lb asian isnt supposed to be benching 240 :pout:

    Try this:

    http://www.brookskubik.com/

Dinosaur Training, no BS, just heavy compound movements.

I adopted this philosophy in 2006. Even when I was a competetive bodybuilder, I always went heavy on the squat, deadlift, bench and overhead press. Since 2006 the only single joint lifts I do on a regular basis are the BB shrug and calf raises. Right now I do hit a bi/tri day once a month. But, it's not unusual for me to go 6-12 months without hitting them. The only exception is the close grip bench, I don't consider it a tri movement. I consider it a variation of the bench and it'is a major compound movement.

I see a recurring theme on these boards just like I see in the gym everyday. People trying to find excuses for not training heavy. I don't know about you but I'm an Alpha Male. When I walk into the gym, my goal is to be the most powerful man in the room. Not, the guy who gets the best pumps.

At 150 I wouldn't be doing much cardio unless you need to be able to run 3 miles, or want to. You'd be better off sticking with weights. Maybe throw in some sprints (if you're fast), or some fasted walking in the AM.

You need to hold onto every ounce of muscle you have. Slow cardio will burn fat, but also muscle. Hit the weights good, throw in some good power lifts and oly lifts and you should be set. If you have a little bit of pudge, that's going to be better attacked with diet.

Get med tape and just tape up your wrists. Are your wrists proper when you bench?

I'm really working on getting back into the ROTC/Army, so im trying to keep my run times as far down as possible while trying to gain some muscle at the same time.

Trying to find a good balance; if I do get back in, im gonna have to go back to 7 mile runs on monday, 2 miles of sprints on wednesday, rucks/beach runs on friday....

But when I was doing that I was like 135-140

Ive never used gloves so someone can chime in if it works. I would think tape would be good for wrist pain but idk.

Also nice on the 240 bench! My max last year was 185. Still probably around the same now. I also weigh like 148 so yeah you got me big time haha

Yea, that's the shitty part about group PT. I'd do sprints mostly if I were you, with the occasional distance run to get the mileage up. But for the PT test, you should be good with running 100m, 1/4 mile, 1/2 mile, or 1 mile sprints. Then just for reference throw in a 2 mile run to judge the progress.
Here's what I did. Twice a week I would run. Mostly sprints, but every other week I'd sub out sprints and do a distance run. Worked out well for keeping my run under 13. Now I try to do sprints once a week or so, and a 5ish mile run once a month to make sure I can still do it.
If you're not a good or decent runner though, you'd probably have to do more running.

Wrist wraps might help you. Typically come in 12" and 24" lengths.

Your grip might be the the issue too. What type of grip do you use?
