I usually do sprints twice a week with at least a mile-mile half mixed in
cant do really long distance alone, don't have the motivation...
but hate group runs too... haha

i think I just have to mix more sprints in
I use my thumbs but keep my wrist/knuckles in line
Ill try pick up some wrist wraps

Well said man! Been a big fan of Pavel Tsatsouline ever since he jumped on the scene. Kind of gimmicky but a genius when it comes to strength.

Get sick of guys at the gym doing half reps with more weight then they can handle, getting hard on's from pumping their bi's and tri's and obsessing over what pre and post drink they're going to have!

Tuesday: Squat 5x5, Mititary press 5x5, Deadlift 1X5

    Wednesday: Rest

So for Thurs and Fri should i mix it up a little or just repeat Mon and Tues workouts? And for the deadlift should i be doing my max for the 1 rep?

I've been lifting heavy compound movements for the past 6 weeks now, and I'm seeing some solid results, increasing my 1RM each time. I go MWF and on Sat or Sun, I do a plyometric circuit to keep up flexibility and speed.

I was wondering if I can lift heavy MWF, and take kickbocking or boxing Tues and Thurs with a plyo circuit on the weekends, or would that be too much? Should I just stick to the MWF and one weekend plyo?

Not necessarily true. Lots of strength and power lifting programs have people doing heavy lift 3 days straight. CatalystA does 4 on, 1 off, 1 on, 1 off, 4 on, etc.....
I wouldn't be doing 1rm of deadlift though. Be better to keep it in the 3-5 rep range.

Started that Rippetoes program today. Took about 45 mins to do the workout and thats with a 3 rep warmup with each exercise and than almost all the workouts were 3X5. So i was going as heavy as i good and still able to keep my form and be able to finish. Will do cardio and abs tomorrow and than lifting again weds.

Not too bad. I have no idea how much a regular belt costs.

your regular dicks sporting goods belt is around 20-30 bucks, a good supporting belt like Inzer and APT are around 70-120

You know Rippetoe states right in his program that you should not do abs. You're already doing 5 CORE exercises.. You will just lose strength on the program.

    On another note..

PR of 235 Bench 6x.

this is from the link posted a few pages back.. I dont know if its word for word from his workout or not....

"Most people cant get it through there head that compound lifts also work your arms Plenty and always Insist on direct arm work. As quoted by Madcow2, “Don't **** with this. Every bodybuilder seems to have Attention Deficit Disorder and an overwhelming desire to customize everything.” If you are one of these people note that you have the option of doing the dips and chins which give PLENTY of arm work. Abdominal work is fine to do also if needed. "

Yeah, I suppose the only way to know is to do it. I did some ab work when I did the program and I will say, THEY KILLED, so I stopped abs. Stick with that workout, and if you can or can't do power cleans. LEARN IT!! The power clean is beautiful

Question for ya folks. I'm changing up my routine to focus more on individual muscle groups. Which muscles should I group together each day? i.e. chest and arms? shoulder and core? etc. Thanks. Not that into it yet haha, no supplements or anything, but I like to think I have a good starting off point :D Thanks
