I do suppose in moderation they are ok. But pork is on the lower end of quality meat. It is greasier. Think about what kind of shit pigs eat. That's just it: shit... I dunno other than what I've read over the course of trying to build. Why do you suggest the bacon/ sausage over fresh fruit? I'm open to suggestions always.

High carb, especially high fructose diets have shown a number of problems in people. Especially with weight/fat gain. I know you're trying to gain, but I think you'd have more success with a high fat, and moderate protein diet. Plus moderate carbs since you lift.
I've seen great results on hard gainers with up'd fat and calories.

Reason I said eggs and bacon for breakfast is bc you'd have around the same amount of calories in the morning to help hit your goal, but it'd be less fructose and more quality fats and protein. Plus for lack of better words or sustaining from writing/quoting hard to understand science names, testosterone is derived from cholesterol. So eat them fats

Different macros for different people, some people eat 6000cal and shred but if others try to eat 6000cal they will get obese

The link I used said 117 protein 110 fat and 400 carbs? Sorry for the confusion......I'd keep protein at 1lb per bodyweight (any more wont be used), same with carbs (I only eat 150-175 and have plenty of energy) and the rest fat. Lift 4-6 weeks BB style (8-12 reps) and 4-6 weeks (6-8reps) all compounds and ditch the bi's/tri's sessions.

If I remember right you have a very active job (I thought it was you) so you may only make gains by doing "less" in the gym and eating like a king.

Dude, this sounds like your chance to drop some weight and bring out all that muscle you have under there. You actually remind me of this big ass power lifter dude I knew who was strong as hell but was so big you couldn't tell how much muscle he had. I moved away for a few months and saw him again after doing Adkins and he was a ripped fucking monster. Still big but had all that fat stripped away and was fucking ripped. Maybe this is your chance to do bring all that muscle out. HIIT sprints in the morning, etc. you will lose strength and some size but I bet you'll look "bigger" due to shaping out the muscles more!

    Just my .02

^ Agreed! Maybe trying a program like P90x or Insanity wouldn't be a bad idea either.

Yeah i was thinking the same, already started doing cardio yesterday, 20 minutes on stationary bike for low intensity, 20 on elliptical for HIIT, 15 sec balls to the wall 45 sec chilling, did 10 intervals and kept going till i hit 400 cal

PS: my apartment has its own gym with cardio equipment

BW strength will be your new best friend. Pull ups, dips, sprints, etc you can still challenge yourself with bodyweight.

Look up Hannibal for king......ghetto street workouts!

Alright, so are you saying, no fresh fruits really, besides a banana? I love bananas...

Basically 6:15 am I eat 1/2 cup oatmeal 1/2 cup milk with greek yogurt mixed in. Then take my vitamins and like 6 oz of juice of some sort.

Then around 8:15 am I eat a banana, pb&j, cheese stick, orange, (today I had a handful of almonds and cashews).

Then basically at 9 am I have my chicken breast

10-2 I eat everything in the planet usually  So hungry lol. I am glad my job allows me to eat any time I want haha.

Yeah it is an active job. The link is broken because it changes with the date I guess. If you go back to my day of tuesday, may 28th my diet will be there.

I definitely need to change my gym workout... The more I read about the ectomorph the more I realize I am doing it all wrong.

I really like this link and may end up following it soon. http://www.t-nation.com/free_online_article/most_recent/grow_ectomorph_grow

    Hey guys,

Half way through my work out, I start to get hungry. I push through it, but I just run out of steam 20 min later and just crash my work out pace. I usually eat something light and fast to digest 45 min before a work out, not a full meal, keeping the fats and fiber low in that meal. Almonds, oatmeal, fruit, chicken breast, eggs, etc...

Should I just take a protein bar to the gym and refuel half way through a work out, or eat a bigger preworkout meal? Any advice.?
