I take muscle pharm assault as a prework out. That ichy feeling you get is the increase in blood circulating due to a surging heart rate from the preworkout.

From my experience with it, I take it 15 min before a workout, and gives me the boost in energy for that last extra rep, that extra set, and push past the soreness.

I take it only on lifting days, not cardio days.

FYI: I took a preworkout, did my work out, then took my buddy to a clinic to get his shots before he went to China 3 hrs later. They had one of those blood pressure machines.

-At the clinic: 168/88 Stage 2 hyper tension 96 BPM resting heart rate
-Normal From my most recent physical last week: 122/58 resting heart rate 68 BPM

That shit fucks you up... I had a full physical and full blood panel done after a 3 day cleanse last week, and all is very normal and I've been taking a full range of muscle pharm products for 7+ months now.

If you don't drink at least .5 liters of water before you drink your preworkout, youre going to feel like shit. I used to wonder what the hell was wrong with me after taking NO-xplode or any of that junk. Then I took it with a ton of water and finally had some positive workouts. I dont any of it anymore now.

I think it actually increased the lactic acid build up by increasing the blood flow......that's exactly the opposite of what I want. That's freaky about the high blood pressure though!

Increasing blood flow decreases lactic acid.build up since youre transporting more oxygen to the muscle.

Swimming is a recommended recovery work out since its high blood flow, low impact, low resistance.

It felt as if it was increasing lactic acid due to the fatigue kicking in earlier? Kind of a pointless product if I can't do more work and have good ROM? Not to mention expensive as shit!

So you took a pre-workout and fatigue kicked in earlier for you? Probably haven't found the right product for you. What may work for some, may not work for you.... also, you don't need supplements to get peak performance. Babe Ruth did it with beer and hotdogs. I know for me, I definitely needed a prework out and intra workout.

It's true about being expensive. I'm looking at $1.50/workout in pre-work out cost, and $1/workout in intra-work out cost, so $2.50/lifting day if I take only one serving of each.

What I was trying to say is "pre-workouts" suck! I only have coffee and real food before a workout and if I workout fasted I have some BCAA with g2 gatorade. The ridiculous pump and over stimulation I experienced is not needed and had actually caused a less productive workout.......(I have a feeling these products make us feel "swole" therefore its working)

Was just throwing it out there if those who take them regularly were to just have caffeine instead, maybe actually do more work with better ROM considering what I experienced?

    • walking lunges - 90lbs 24 reps (12 per leg)
    • deadlifts - 255lbs 6 reps

Got a new scale that supposedly tells your body fat %, muscle mass, etc etc. who knows if it's right or not, but as of today...

10% BF, 48% muscle mass, 7 lbs of bone, 66% water. Like I said, no clue if it's even close...but there it is.

5'8". Definitely wouldn't consider myself skinny as hell, though.
