What are your guys' tips on some more interval type training or rather cardio training that is not just regular running? I have been running 2-3 miles (7.5 mile pace) every day except for my rest day for about 12 weeks. I am about a week out from my 2nd 6 week program, so I usually like to switch up my workouts every 6 weeks so I don't plateau. (and get bored)

    Jump ropes, steps, etc?

No, just general health. That is why I am looking to switch it up. I get very bored of running and would like to do some different cardio work.

I biked a good bit maybe a month or two ago but I don't really have the bike for it so 5 miles was usually all I did, which barely gets you anything worthwhile on a bike.

One of the gyms I go to has a great stationary bike, when I bike I usually go for a good 16-17 miles on a long day, warm up's usually 6-7 miles.

Jump ropes is best for short time high intensity, steps are good too depends how fast, i think the worse is to jog or to do plyometrics when you try to maintain muscle.

i think i'm going to have to get back on a caffiene+creatine complex for the morning workouts.....running 5 miles in 90*+ heat is killing my energy for the next morning's workout. i've taken it before and liked it, felt like i had more energy and better lifts, but my weight shot up like 10lbs (probably water weight). i would probably just take it on lifting days (MWF) and stay off it on running days.
    any thoughts? positives/negatives?

Run in the evenings or run earlier. Running in 90* has gotta be torture!
