    Holy krap....

I just tried the Craze preworkout supplement this morning, I am still buzzing, guess I took way too much (1.5 scoops).....since I pretty much avoid caffeine it had an uber effect on me...

I was wacko at the gym....smaller scoop next time I try it...the buzz is very similar to several questionable party tokens I experimented with in my youth...I am more than a little jittery...woah....

It does work, got to find the right dosage....:turtleride: to:burnrubber:with a scoop and a half, LOL...

had an heart ablation last December, 8 months of training for a comeback marathon if you must know...

    pump it...

I've tried Craze before; that stuff is wild! I'm currently on day 3 of MusclePharm Assault and I think it's a little better. It gets me pumped for a good hour or so and then wears off. The only downside is the crash afterwards. It sucks

Yeah, stuff like this has its downside, I am not looking forward to the crash, I may just go in this afternoon for seconds, sans the Craze, I normally do two a days 5 days a week, and singles on the other two, anyway, retired, I have the time, I am sculpting....

You should check out FORCE FACTOR as a pre work out, it's the best thing I've taken.

I am over the top right now, the last ten years I have struggled to stay in shape because of Afib, was born with it, but it got real bad as I aged, been doing ultra distance races since 1993, from about 2000 on I was degrading bit by bit, then hardly anything for 5 years until I found out about my condition two years ago, then the fix December last.....trying to basically knock thirteen years of slacking off in 9 + months, marathon is September 19th in Duluth, MN....my best time, 1 hour 11 minutes, not a misprint, that is on very specialized custom inline skates, I used to dominate....now I am just hoping for a good finish....

    http://northshoreinline.com/

check it out, there will be about 2500 competitors, wild point to point race along the shores of Lake Superior, they even close the interstate in town for the final 5 mile sprint to the end, just totally
    wild....

Every other day. That's all I do. Workout a day, skip a day, etc....

I did the whole 2-a-day thing for 3-4 days a week. Then a single on the other two days. I stayed lean, but muscle gains were sub-par, along with strength gains, speed, etc... Not to even mention the physical and metabolic stress my body was going through. Unless you're one of those natural freaks running around with extremely high testosterone levels, you will be a ticking time bomb.

I caught it before the bomb completely exploded, and nursed my body back. With the one-on one-off I have stayed just as lean, (sub 10% bf) with ease, and muscle and strength gains have surpassed in short time what I was getting on the over-training routine.

I agree 100%. There are people that come in the gym I work at and do chest for 3 hours. The best results for strength and size are 40-60 minute workouts 4-6 times a week. These kids coming in trying to get "beach muscles" for the ladies, doing curls for 2 hrs are just wasting their time. People don't understand that overtraining is detrimental to your GAINNNNZ!

I am not trying to gain muscle, although I have had some nice gains, my main thrust is to work every muscle of my body with fast circuit training, along with heavy cardio, it doesn't seem like much to me as sometimes I even throw in an outdoor workout between the 2 a days...there are three races I am focusing on...one week after the Marathon there is the NY 100k (62 miles), then a two week rest and the Athens to Atlanta road race (87 miles)....distance athletes are pretty crazy...

I do take a day off here and there, sometimes it does add up, you know when to take a break...

My run coach was a world record holder in Ultra Marathons, back before they were cool. A good buddy/work acquaintance does every type of endurance Bi-Tri-Duo, etc out there. Dude does the Kona Iron Man every year, and just destroys his class. Freaks. At one point I thought it looked fun. Then I realized I cared more about working strength, and looking a little jacked at the beach :D, so I passed. Nothing against those guys, but to be at that level, you have to pretty much have no other hobby then running, swimming, and biking.

When my run coach was at his best running shape, he had to have his wife open jars for him. Crazy dudes. He sure did teach me a lot though and helped me smash my interval times.

I'm with you. My cardio consists of lifting weights fast. I'd rather look jacked than be 90 lbs of muscle, but to each his own

I'll do sprints, and an occasional metcon type day. But, my metcons are at about 80-90%, not full speed.

Sprints usually don't go over 800m, but a 2mile run/sprint has to be thrown in every now and then to test progress, and make sure I'm not slipping. Which reminds me, I'm due for a 2mile, FML.

Haha I do a mile or so if I have a wild weekend of drinking and eating like crap...With college football right around the corner, I'm always accustomed to gaining 5-10 lbs of beer and tailgate food weight!

I have several friends who are heavily into it. Plenty of good ideas for smoothies too. They're all VitaMix owners (you almost need one to blend half the stuff they blend) and frequently use smoothies for meal replacements. I've tried one or two. Not bad. Definitely doesn't taste like shit either.
