Just blew out chest for the day. Didd Mike Rashid's 10lb bench except i can only do 7 10's instead of the full 10. Still a total of 150 reps. If you havent tried that workout I highly suggest it, pumps a lot of blood to your chest with the drop then all the way back up

After 13 years of lifting, this is the best during workout drink I've ever had. No more "pre workout" drinks. I've noticed that you build a tolerance to all of them and then they become a waste. Amino acids are the way to go while lifting.
I'm all about the power though. Got to make that bar bend!

Why amino acids during your workout? You body is having to take extra steps to convert them to glucose, thus wasting more energy then it has to....:notsure:

I think the real kicker is having your body in beast mode and rest/digest mode at the same time :D

    Oh gosh...caffeine works wonders \/

I never workout with anyone. If I had a graph, higher weights would be inversely proportional to my confidence, until I get a spotter. At least with bench...

Squat and stuff....eh safety racks :notsure: :D

Some dbag asked me how many more sets I have on the squat rack a few days ago. I was on it for a while back/front squats and deadlift but there was no one really in the gym. I figured I was on it long enough and gave it to him. That little douche nugget does curls  His mom should be slapped.

I hate when people do that shit. Go up to him and ask him what the five fingers said to the face...

I don't see the point in break dancing during a pull up except to show off like a douche.

I guess everyone's bodies are structured differently, because I become beast with aminos. My workouts are structured around Worlds Strongest Man. Fuckin heavier the better.

I only need a workout partner on chest days.... the feeling of having bone crushing weight above my head with no support... not fun haha

If someone ever asks how many sets just test them... "well what are you wanting to do?" wait for answer then tell them to learn how to gym

thats pretty BA but he's a skinny man! haha

Aminos acids are the monomers of protein. People commonly take them pre-workout b/c they increase protein synthesis as well as decrease muscle damage.

What you are talking about is gluconeogenesis. Studies have suggested that intense workout can increase gluconeogenesis. Some state that taking aminos pre-work out will then provide the body with a energy source through gluconeogenesis.

Why not take a carbohydrate drink instead? Well taking a carbohydrate drink 30 minutes prior to workout will of course cause an insulin spike. Combining that with exercise can cause hypoglycemia as well as suppress the body's energy production, which then can cause decreased performance in prolonged exercise as well as early fatigue.

Taking it during the workout will of course negate those effects since insulin resistance has changed, thus your insulin will not spike.

Studies also state that taking a sugary drink during intense training can delay fatigue.

Supplement companies have flooded the internet with "studies" though that prove their item is the latest and greatest and will guarantee gains/performance. I'm sure some have their slight advantages, but you're talking about possibly (not guaranteed) being able to lift a couple more pounds that day, which in the long run you will probably never notice.
I'll still slam a scoop of jacked, hyphy-mud, or whatever other pre-workout there is on days I'm super tired, and probably shouldn't workout anyway, to get me going and go to the gym.

Legit Strongmen training is intense enough though, that I'd probably take everything possible pre, during, and post workout if I thought it would increase performance/gains and decrease damage.
