Says it contains dairy... so I assume, no.

Also, I usually max out on deadlifts every single time, but only 2 people judged my form and I changed it once, so who knows anymore.

I was on my phone earlier and it didnt say :p

but have someone take a video of you form the side, werks like a charm :D

My gym doesn't let us drop the rubber weights  so I've started to do a million reps w/weights I can bring back down to the ground...or drop from my knees :spy:

I had 2 sets of bruises on my thighs from cleans...one from where I bump the bar up and one from catching the bar from my shoulders :p

Yea, I found that weird too. Only thing I could think of is they don't do them as frequent. Then when they do them, they go for max lift.

If your lower backs getting sore, your probably doin the "stripper" dead lift. When you begin your pull, there's still slack in the bar, and you extend the legs and your hips shoot up before your back begins to straighten out. This causes you to be bent over and have to basically do a good morning to get lock out. So start doing weighted good mornings and learn how to deadlift right.

Oh and side note. You should never drop the barbell when you are at complete lock out in the dead lift. Many people hurt their backs from doing this simple mistake. Think about it. Your core is engaged, your lats are engaged, your electors, all deep back muscle fibers. Everything is engaged and supporting your spinal cord. When you suddenly dump the weight, everything suddenly relaxes and rebounds pulling your spine in multiple directions. Not what you want.

Little sumo tip. When you set up and grab the bar, it helps if you slightly lean forward, then bring your weight back towards your heels. If you do this properly, you'll feel the barbell become almost weightless. It actually will come off the ground a little before you've even begun your pull. Try it with a single plate just to get the feeling. Once you find that spot where the barbell begins to become weightless, explode through your pull. Watch your pr increase.

I only do them once a week and max out everytime... But, they are probably wrong still.

Got a good video of the deadlift? One thing I hate about normal gyms is that no one is knowledgeable to help you

I wouldn't go for max every time. Usually when finding your max, you have an ugly pull or two. So maybe do max every third week or every other week. Do sets of three - five, or focus on speed the other days. Will help you in the long run.

my initial pain come from doing high reps of conventional, 315 for reps of 20, it's a mixture between the high reps and the touch and go that messes up my back, but today doing sumo, 0 pain felt awesome, so stoked.
thanks for the tip JR! gonna try that on the next pull day.

I went and played some pickup basketball today for the first time in Lord-knows-how-long. I thought I was gonna die after about 15 minutes. Tomorrow, I start back with some Cardio. I think I might have had a minor heart attack today.

Yeah, trying to do 2 scoops in 1 shake is like drinking liquid cement. I always just split it up into 2 1 scoop shakes...1 post-workout and 1 before bed.

Off today so I went to the gym at 1130… It was a mad house. People everywhere doing dumb shit. A skinny dude screaming on the smith machine doing shoulder presses…with 25lbs on each side… People standing around chit chatting not doing shit.

I did watch a dude bench 4 plates though…Pretty impressive.

I've plateaued on flat bench at 235 max, any tips to break past this? I've been doing incline barbell only for the past two months with sets of dumb bell flat bench. My incline has increased immensely doing that but my flat is still stuck at 235 :(

    I've been doing this workout.

    http://www.bodybuilding.com/fun/mutant-strength-hugh-jackmans-wolverine-workout-plan.html

It's really helped my bench. I'm sure it's a combination of all the chest exercises there...but I really think a lot of it had to do with with:

    Week 1: 4 sets of 5 reps at 60,65,75,75%
    Week 2: 4 Sets of 4 reps at 65, 75, 85, 85%
    Week 3: 4 sets of 3 at 70, 80, 90, 90%
    Week 4: 4 sets of 10 at 40, 50, 60, 60%.

I think that helped keep the muscles confused and always working on something different. I'm not a professional, nor do I know as much as half the guys in this thread, but any time you can mix up the weight/reps, and help keep the muscles confused and constantly working, it's gonna help.
