Going to go out on a limb here, and unless there is some kind of clause in the definition, I believe fish oil and multi-vitamins are supplements as well.

Of course real food is always the best. For vitamins and fish oil as well.
Protein powder is fine though. I doubt you would have any ill effects from supplementing in a shake or two a day as needed.

I went to walmart after I got off work today and they had a 35lb dumbbell for $32 and a 40lb one for $38. I've been thinking about buying an adjustable set but they are like $200 + from what I saw. If I've been doing 30's and I'm more than likely to just but one this time instead of two. Which would you buy to help me gain muscle and mass? I've been doing regular curls, hammer curls, and sometimes concentration curls and do about at least 3-4 sets of 10-12 reps. I find this is starting to get easier so that's why I was wondering how much weight I should jump up at one time

That is the most extreme name for a simple tub of protein I've ever heard lol. God, I hate GNC...$76 for 17 servings ....I'd just go buy steaks for that price.

A tub of 74 servings of Optimum Nutrition whey is $50.

    This ^^^

Protein powder is a waste of money if you don't know how many calories you need to consume to lose, maintain, and gain weight. I know a lot of people taking a bunch of supplements and have shit diets that go along with them, so their supplements aren't doing anything. The ONLY reason I take protein powder is because I simply don't have time to sit down and eat every meal. I eat 4-5 meals a day and usually supplement 2 shakes per day (one post-workout and one on my way home from school).

For some reason, there's some misconception that whey protein powder is some sort of magic shit that puts on raw muscle. One's body would much rather have a real source of protein. Hell, you can get 20 grams of protein for .68 cents in the form of canned tuna...I eat a can a day.

Try craigslist too. Sometimes can get deals on people cleaning out their garage.

Nice work, man! Coming off a pre-workout is like a crackhead trying to quit lol. Give it a few weeks and you won't be so dependent on it....that's wat I did and now I'm addicted to coffee :anonymous:

    7 lbs is a lot:

Also this: You might have lost more than 7 lbs. of fat, but could be adding muscle at the same time, so the scale isn't changing as much

I bet it is. It looks like you've lost way more than 7 lbs of fat.
