Here's mine, just so y'all don't think I'm some kind of deformed troll or something....I'm pretty sure it's impossible for me to take a selfie without flexing, and for that, I apologize....had to get a little triceps action in there lol

I think simple stretching would fix my over-arched back.

So Zack, why exactly are you think that a pre workout and amino's might have the use effect?

They are completely different compounds, different ingredients, different bases.

    Just curious.

I know that, but I haven't taken a pre in almost a year and have never taken BCAA's. I don't know if the pre has any recovery stuff in it, so I was just being extra careful, so I can really see what the BCAA's are all about

I guess it's sort of the scientific approach. If you wanna see the results of one thing, it's gonna be hard to tell what they actually are if you start talking two things at once

I would doubt that a pre has recovery in it because its pre not post...but that's just me.

All the amino's I take are intra and post.

I know that, as well. It just makes more sense to me to introduce 1, then the other, in order to really get a feel for what the 2nd one is doing

You won't have physiological effects of an amino as you will with a pre, in my experience.

That may be, but since I've never taken them, I wanted to be sure. As stupid as it may sound, it makes sense to me. I didn't want to down a cocktail of powder, not knowing what's doing what. I'm introducing two supplements I've never tried before, not knowing what either will do. I know what they're supposed to do, but have no personal experience as to what actually may happen. To pinpoint just exactly what each one does to me, specifically, it makes the best sense to introduce them one at a time, so I know for sure what exactly each one is doing

You'll feel the effects of a pre so you'll know its doing something, you won't feel or notice effects of bcaa because there are no physiological effects. How will you know bcaa is working?

Anything different, after introducing the pre, within reason. If I don't lose significant muscle mass or end up experiencing less severe DOMS, I could attribute that to BCAA's.

Of course they work. You pay $40 for them...they have to work.

$25 :D and if you read from about a week ago, you'll see that I'm extremely skeptical about most supplements, BCAA's included

I have and the only thing it did was make my toilet water change colors. I see where you're going though. They're not going to do much of anything that is noticeable, but that Doesn't mean they don't work.

Don't look too far into this. I just took one thing before the other to rule out something I may have attributed to the BCAA's. I understand they're two completely different supplements, but I'm simply taking one a week after the other to really see if I can notice anything I may have attributed to the first

Haha I know you are. There is a guy in my literature class that carries a huge gym bag. I asked him why and he said he has $150 in supplements in it at all times so he can keep the proper protein and blahblablah. I tell everyone that I don't work out so he said I should take what he does because I would get huge!

I would love to see placebo testing done on these products.
