Strict diet, high intensity high rep lifting, and run run run
He run's over 10 miles a week.

Solus, I would suggest a higher intensity running interval training. And interval rowing if you have access to a rowing machine. With the running don't go for distance, go for intervals.

And you may wanna look in to crossfit if you haven't already.

And as people have said, dieting is a good start.

hit the gym last night for a 60 minute 6.5 mile jog. that was my cardio day, tonight i am lifting legs heavy and then doing my ride class again. my shoulders are still sore from Mondays shoulder workout.

i am not sure what happened but on Sunday i weighed in at just over 250 figured it was water weight, then Tuesday i weighed in at 248 and today i weighed in at 247. i know i am hydrated because i have had plenty of water over the last 3 days so was i just carrying that much extra water because i was not getting enough over the long weekend?

i just hope i am not loosing muscle again that really pissed me off last time.

i will say i have been keeping very good track of my diet lately (since last week) and i am eating about 3000 calories (on average) and according to the bod pod and the calorie counter app i have i am burning about 3900 a day so that should leave me with about a 1 1/2 pound weight loss per week.

So im trying to cut my 2mile times down

Pt is every mon, wed, and Friday
but I've been supplementing these runs with cycling at the gym. Usually 20-30 mins at the 85rpm.

Our pt sced is long runs on Monday (6+ miles) interval sprints (2 miles worth) on Wednesday, and light runs/full body on fridays.

What do you guys think, would I get more out of more running or keep the cycle in for crosstraining?

Passed my final PT test today for CBP. Back to the gym tomorrow to get back on schedule. Definitely need to put more cardio in based on my long distance run results today. Have seen some gains over the past month but I think the cardio will benefit my goals to lose some weight and look a little better.
Anybody else keep track of gains every week size wise on arms/chest/shoulders/calves/thighs/etc?

Strict diet, high intensity high rep lifting, and run run run
Yeah I run about 12-13 miles a week and I barely eat anything (atleast compared to pre-deployment)

I've started a new interval running 2 days a week, @8 incline 30 second sprints 1 minute fast walk repeat for 20 minutes. I'll do that in additional to my normal lifting regiment for a few weeks and see If I can cut a an inch off my midsection... maybe drop another 5 lbs.

I love rowing, but there is no rowing machine here.

Eating wise, I'm kinda restricted to what they serve at the DFAC. I normally eat a bigger breakfast (fruit, bacon, eggs, a muffin, cherrios w/ milk) then a lighter lunch after the gyms (fruit, milk, cheerios, tuna). Then a normal dinner. (some chicken concoction they have at the DFAC with rice and salad/vegetables(carrots, cucumbers, brocoli, asparagus, etc)

thats it... my last meal is at 1700ish and breakfast is about 0800. I'm usually really hungry for breakfast
