I can see why Jeremy said the BBC might sue them, they've taken everything that made Top Gear No. 1 with them and it's brilliant. Honestly though I could watch them run errands and it would be better than what Top Gear now has to offer. Great first episode, when they settle in I'm sure it will be even better.

I've been waiting a year and 1/2 to see which car would come out on top. Honestly I thought the P1 would be in 2nd with the Porsche in 1st.

I'm just glad to see the three of them back together again. It was the only show that I actually looked forward to and now they are back. Hell even my wife loved Top Gear and she laughed her ass off tonight. Good enough for me.

Silly question, but how do you subscribe to Amazon Prime, or whatever it is to be able to see it?

    Log on to Amazon.

    Register for Prime.

Give them a credit card (that works, I've missed that step on occasion).

Enjoy from PC, app-enabled TV (Sony, Roku stick, whatever), iPad, or wherever fine streaming shows are streamed from.

It was awesome. The fact that they're traveling around to film the show is better than the original IMO. Their new test track looks cooler than the old one, but "The American" was a bit dull. I've never even heard of the guy. I hope they replace him with someone a bit more lively, or who is known for racing outside of the U.S.

I really liked the opening bit with Jeremy leaving London and showing up to LA, then Hammond and May joining him on the freeway. And the whole "Burning Van" show in the desert and the hundreds of cool cars and trucks on the lake bed was rad. I wonder if they'll make an intro unique to each location they film in? Although with this episode's opening costing millions to produce I doubt it.

I agree about "The American". They could've done better. Though they have to have him different enough to not get sued, so maybe that's why he had to actually talk...

It was great. Although I must say that I really miss the Stig and all the jokes associated with him.

That was pretty good, though the celebrity part was a bit Meh. I hope they show tearing down Jeremy's house at the end of the season!

I was at the filming of this show!!!
It was so cool to see those guys in person, and if I'm honest, funnier in person. I think they just need a little bit of time to get back in the grove of shooting in front of an audience, and to figure out what works and doesn't work now that they have things they legally aren't allowed to do.
But I am so excited for some of the awesome trips they have planned.... they are going to be awesome!

I have shown this to my son, and he is :jellydance:. He asks how y'all did the "crowd riot" over the "RAF versus USAF" dispute. Was that as much fun to do as it looked?

It was! There were actually several more clips they filmed for it, and when Hamster picked up the chair, he actually picked it all the way up and ran into the crowd with it.
Honestly one of the coolest things was in between shooting or when they would redo a shot. They totally interacted and talked with the crowd, especially Hammond. And they really encouraged us to interact on camera too when were were prompted. I think now that Amazon is the one writing the checks, they want a little bit more spontaneity from the audience.
Cool guys, and the crew was freaking amazing too. Everyone was really nice! They didn't allow any phones from the audience on set and bussed us out to the actual location, so this was one of the assistant producers who came up to me and my GF and asked to take a picture of our shirts to show the guys after filming. We asked after the show to see if he could email or text it to us expecting him to have to wait until after the first show was released or something and he did it right there and then! Nice guys.

BTW, if you are interested at all, they told us the ticket stats for the first so cal show.

1,000,000 applied through Amazon Prime for tickets
12,500 were called from the UK and personally interviewed
175 were given tickets with a +1 (350 total) for the in-tent filming portion

2,000-2,500 for that opening sequence with the band and when they were driving across the dry lake bed (mostly famous people who wanted to come, reporters, writers, people they wanted to impress for various reasons, friends and family)
500 for the portion right out front of the tent when the drone was shot down (Ticket winner +4 friends)
