Ah wtf! I was watching TNF instead

 

It's pretty entertaining and so does the rest of what's to come.

 

I enjoyed tonights episode

 

I'll check it out tonight after work! Is it back like old TopGear or not quite? Getting closer or different?

 

Too early to tell but I like the new celebrity bit they got going. It does feel like Top Gear of old, maybe right before Jezza was sacked.

Watched it last night, and it was great. Loved the celebrity face off. The look on clarksons face during the drag race was pretty hilarious. Might watch it again tonight.

 

Agreed that the celebrity bit was good. I like how they handled Hammond’s “accident.” Interesting that they didn’t discuss what may have caused it.

 

I'm sure they will take the piss out of Hammond all season.

 

They had in-car footage as he made his way through the race course. How do they not have footage after he drove through the finish line then right off the hill? I'm guessing operator error and an effort to limit liability/insurance.

BTW - just watched the show today. Very good and much closer to the original than last season.

 

Yeah Clarkson complained about him wrecking after the finish and how the cameras weren't watching anymore. But the in car camera had to have been going still. My guess is he did something stupid. He should have been decelerating after the finish, not driving like he stole it. I wish they did the traveling tent still, but I bet that was big bucks to do so they set it stationary to save money.

 

Apparently I missed this in the credits. Did anyone catch it?

 

Missed it. Apparently he was a victim of identity theft so Clarkson gave him a less common name, one that no one would want to steal. Mission accomplished.

 

Ha! I didn't even pay attention.

 

Much better than last season, good jokes and loved how they treated Hammsters accident

When I saw it on the show, I instantly thought of Super Dave Osborne!
