3 of my favorite cars appear in the opening montage. :D

I liked S3 E1, although, at times, it felt like May and Clarkson were starting to get really old and douchey. Thankfully, as the episode progressed, they were back to their usual selves.

    Detroit... Wow!!

Is it okay to have spoilers here?

    I watched it this morning.

No spoilers, but I figure that most folks who watch this thread are already ahead of me on the East Coast... so, I won't comment/check the thread until I've seen the latest episode.

IMHO, the opening montage was exactly what sank the hook - ;) for me. Seeing a Pantera Detomaso GT, a Lamborghini Countach LP 500S, and that Lancia Stratos copy... made it move some. :D

They could have finished me with a Ferrari 288GTO.

I’m pumped for that episode. I love the Lancia and Countach.

I agree on spoilers, I tend to not look at this thread or other TV show threads until I’m caught up. You could always add the spoiler tag thing

Disappointed in the Colombia special.... it had the opportunity to be as good as the Bolivia or Vietnam special and I just think it was pretty terrible all the way through.

I'm trying to figure out why or what was missing everything felt forced but more importantly there was none of the drama, all of the funny moments were set up and seemed fake. It seemed like they also spent tons of time with overhead shots of the vehicles on highways going between the locations instead of focusing on the banter that the trio is so amazing at.

Specifically compare the altitude scenes in the Bolivia special to climbing up the volcano in the Colombia special. There was only a difference of 3000 ft but the drama in the Bolivia special was palpable, there was none in the Colombia special.

I enjoyed the Columbia Special. Particularly the hummingbird scene.

And the guys using Hammond's Chebby as a bridge was pretty damn funny too.

Enjoyed Colombia but I'd rank it pretty low compared to their past specials. That said it would be hard to top those.
