Goddamnit... Just finished watching the 3rd episode and I FUCKING hated the it. It is by far (IMO) the worst episode ever (obviously including the original Top Gear). I was actually bored watching it because it was so fucking scripted. I understand they are working to get the original "feel" of the show back but GET RID OF THE GODDAMN CELEBRITY PORTION. Jesus Christ it's annoying as shit. Walking off a bridge this time? Fuck. Episode 1 was great (with the exception of the American) and I am one of the only ones that liked episode 2 it seems. Hell even I was annoyed with Hammond's Hellcat and I actually like that car. Jeremy's self driving car bit was absolutely fucking stupid. It's a shame that the actual cars were the star of this episode. Usually it's the other way around with the cars as great backdrops for all their antics. Sorry but they tried waayy too hard on this one. Rant over.

    Lol

It's not that I'm not pleased I REALLY want the show to succeed. When Top Gear went off the air last year it really sucked since that was the only show that I really looked forward to watching each season. I don't watch much TV and with the exception of Top Gear it gave me a reason to watch. I've seen every episode ever filmed and some are better than others but this last episode... SMH. It's (IMO) getting worse. Again, I understand they are getting their feet back under them but this was almost like watching them being almost forced into each series of events. James' annoying "twitching eye" gag, two trucks following Hammond around, Hammond spray painting, etc...? I dunno... Maybe I'm being too critical but after waiting a year and a half I expected better.

That dude in the audience who called Jeremy out on his "brown Aston" totally broke everyone up. Jeremy recovered quickly, but that was genuine. Gotta love it when you can play with your audience and they play back.

I think the addition of Hammond was what made it funny for me. I thought both the Aston and the Rolls were boring cars and without Hammond making it uncomfortable for the other two it would have just been slow and not very entertaining.

    Gifting is back. Love gifting.

Gifting in Vietnam was the best.

    Workin' on it....
Just started watching this. Glad to see the boys are back. First episode was a little slow but the 2nd and 3rd seem to be gaining momentum.

Excited to see where things go.

    My favorite was Bolivia.

    J, "Is that shoe polish?"
    M, "Yes, don't touch it."
    J reaches for the belt.
    M, "Don't touch it."

Just finished episode 4. Wasn't brilliant but much better than episode 3. The American "actually" had some funny quips and the Porsche 911 is just plain amazing. I was a bit surprised about the BMW but The Americans' quote "British Motor Works" made me laugh. James' bit was kind of funny (especially in the river) but Jeremy's car was the highlight. I'm done talking about the celebrity portion since it doesn't appear that is going away but all in all I enjoyed it.

Yeah... I've never been a huge Porsche fan (save the Carrera GT and the 918) but I've got to admit that 911 is a beautiful, pure sports car. Wish I could afford one.

I cannot wait for them to buy old cars and "modify" them and wonder around towards a goal.
