hes on my 4R forum, you should have saw his black paint job before he put the wrap on. It was literally a scratch edition. I think he does a lot of trail riding.

I have the 4.7 V8 and I personally would of rather had the 4.0 v6 only because it's part time 4wd instead of full time 4wd like the v8. Unless you feel you would need the additional power for towing or anything then it wouldn't really matter either way.

Hey guys, so my girlfriend just picked up a 94 2nd gen and since I don't know very much about 4r's (only tacos :D ), I was wondering what you guys might recommend that I do to upgrade the suspension. I know there aren't too many options for her 4r so I was just looking around. In the end it might just end up being a custom kit that I'll draw up in solidworks.

How's the motor look? Those 3.slows are infamous for blown head gaskets. If you need to search for things look .

Whole motor was rebuilt just over 1000 miles ago. Looks pretty solid and has a decent ammount of power for the 3.slow. It also has new warn manual hub lockers and some new firestone pos LE tires.

    nice
Always had a soft spot for a 2nd gen with mudders haha. (I now own a 90 v6)
look into the electric fan mod. Went down to the local junk yard and pulled a ford taurus fan and have been working on this project for a couple days now. PITA but nice knowing it will be running a lot cooler. new radiator and e-fan....anything to keep that 3.0 running as cool as possible
(pics of the old pulled radiator/clutch fan/shroud, and the new electric fan installed)

first thing you need to do for a 2nd gen 4runner is to check the headgasket for that 3.0 v6, they have a lot of problems, i would check the dealer to see if it has done the headgasket recall yet.

My buddy who went with her said that he had already checked and it was the first thing he did.
