This is what happened when I was looking for a 4runner as well. What you will find is it is few and far between that have the 3rd row. But I do know there was a guy on t4r.org that did convert a 2 row to a 3 row. It was extremely hands on and involved ripping out the entire rear end and drilling into the floor. So it can be done, but I don't think it will be a just a weekend event. Also try looking on the 4runner forum for for sale 4runners is another great place to start. keep in mind the 3rd row does add about a 4-6 inch lip in the rear so loading stuff depending on her height could be effected. Good luck on the search and hope you find one!

The mounts for the second row are different in a 3 row than a 2 row. If you are okay with the seats not laying flat, then it is doable. If not, then it's not.

For example. My 3rd and 2nd row fold to lay flat together.

Wow thank you for all of the information. We went to the dealership tonight just so she could test drive a new one. We saw first hand how much less room there is when the 3rd row is deployed. There's like 6 inches on the floor to the rear hatch. No big deal though. The guy at the dealership seemed to be trying to steer us away from the 4Runner and to the Highlander. She still wants the 4Runner though. We may just forget the 3rd row. It's gonna be hard to find a used one with all of the options she wants. I talked to the salesman about just ordering a new one with everything she wants but I'll prob be paying 40K.

This is a reach but does anyone by chance have a picture of their 2014+ with 2 or 3 child seats installed on the 2nd row? I just want to see how much room there is or if 3 is even doable.

Audis are sweet. If I was going back to German though I'd go BMW or Mercedes. Probably Mercedes. My old BMW was so weird. The engineers put so much work into design to make this beautiful rocket car, then the wiring is all a nest of shit with mismatching wires... BMW wiring was notoriously bad for years.

any of you with 5th gen third rows maybe interested in this. I am. I hate my husky liner because I can't use my third row with it.

Eventually I will be ripping my third row out in exchange for drawers and a cargo slide, but for now... Looks nice.

Just picked up my second runner a few months ago. Fox Coilovers, Fox rear shocks, Icon rear springs, and Camburg UCA's waiting to go on as soon as I find a deal on some SCS f5's.

Hello fellow 4Runner owners! My wife's brand new 2016 SR5 Premium. Drove it off the lot yesterday. Had the dealer throw in the TRD wheels to close the deal. We bought the KO2's today and had them mounted. She loves it and I couldn't be happier the she chose the 4Runner! She already wants a lift.
