installed my full set of Relentless skids today and they look great. Install went smooth, but those 4 bolts on the transmission cross member were a PITA to tighten with the mid and transmission skids installed... thanks Eric for sending out that replacement skid, this one fit perfectly. sliders go on next weekend!

I'll see if I can come up with some pics, and maybe Eric will toss up some as well.

But personally, I'd go with the 2 piece kick outs.

Great to hear it worked out for you with the new skid and you got em all on! Yeah, those cross member bolts can be a bit of a pain(particularly if you dont have the right tools or have big hands)... but the way I see it is I would rather keep bolt heads tucked and skids designed for strength at the sacrifice of a little install ease.

oh I agree, it's nice that all the hardware is tucked away. what would the 'right tools' be? I ended up using a box wrench and a ratcheting wrench as those were the only things I could fit it there...

painted the sliders this weekend too, should be installed next weekend!

Yep, ratchet wrench for the one side is key! And either box/open wrench or a standard ratchet for the other side usually.

I like to think of properly welded on sliders as part of the frame, making the truck chassis stronger as well as providing great protection to your door sills and lower fenders.
Bolt on sliders will give you most of the same protection but kind of a stretch to call them part of the truck frame.

I have the full set of Relentless standard weight skids. They provide good peace of mind knowing the IFS, oil pan, and transmission are not going to thunk down on a rock or whatever.

I'm wondering if you would powder coat the u bolt flip plate something other then black or red? I would think it would be nice to match it to my truck. If not it's cool I just don't know any place here in Colorado Springs that does it.

I dont think that would be a possibility. We only stock black and sometimes red, special colors arent really available on those. You could buy some color matched rattle can touch up paint for your truck and use that over a basic primer coat though. Would be a simple DIY paint job

I see that yall also have a dodge section on your web site but nothing posted.

Has there been anything fab'ed up for the new Rams? I just picked up a 2013 2500 CTD and going to be getting armor for it soon. Had any takers on a mock vehicle for anything? I wish I lived close enough, I would definitely consider it.

Not yet but I'd love to get my hands on all the Ram 1500/2500s from 06+, especially the newer 09+ ones.
