FYI guys, I finally received my aluminum bumper. I had it shipped bare to stop the delay due to the Nevada powder coating. Eric told me it would be delivered sometime last week, and it arrived on Monday, ahead of schedule. Fastenal called me as soon as they got it. Initial impressions are that it's a wonderful piece of kit, and I can't wait to install it this next weekend. I dropped it off on Tuesday along with my skids I never installed for a flat black powder coat. One week turnaround on the coating.

I'll be sure to post pictures of the entire setup installed. So excited!

Planning on painting the radiator black at the same time and relocate the horns for a more coherent grille look with the Satoshi. One modification I plan to do is to drill a hole to mount my waterproof AC plug for the block heater and hard mount the wiring. Not that I've needed it since moving to CA, but still, do it right or not at all.

Eventually the BHLM or a projector retrofit may complete the front end functionally and aesthetically.

    LOL quite the opposite!
We've actually got so much steel work to do all the time it makes it real hard to do the aluminum because the steel contaminates the aluminum, but it's hard to not do anything steel for days on end in order to do the aluminum.

Yessir! If I do more after these next few are shipped they're going to be few and definitely cost a larger premium than I was charging in the past.

Hopping to see it come back from pc and go on a pallet tomorrow Gary.... let's cross our fingers I'm right with my feeling.

Do you offer any shipping options other than UPS to Hawaii? I really want to get a pair of your bed bars but the shipping would be almost the same price. :(

So how is that bumper designed that allows it to be a platform to winch from? Is there a steel subframe hiding behind the aluminum? Any pics from the backside?

    Hi guys,

Rigid makes a set of SAE fog (D2 size) and driving lights (6") and I'm wondering if they could both fit into the front bumper and still maintain the functionality of the winch. Will having the winch controls mounted remotely (inside the engine bay) leave enough space for lights without hacking up the looks and strength of the bumper?

I'm also thinking about losing the winch and just setting a 20" Rigid light bar inside the bumper like some others have done.

I did a sketch to show the size of the cutouts located in several places. I'd really like to have both sets of SAE lights mounted inside the bumper rather than on top. Maybe the fogs could fit in the bumper below the winch?

As far as winches I was thinking of the Zeon8S but when I put it on the sketch it seems way too big. Perhaps all the plastic covers can be removed. Or maybe I need to use something smaller like the M8000S (both shown).

Also thanks to whoever's truck I'm using :) I needed a nice strait-on shot for the scaling.

    TIA
