I have an idea your struggle and am currently going through a similar process. At my heaviest I was 299.8lbs (No way was I going to see 300lbs on a scale) and now I'm down about 60lbs and of that 35-40lbs was in the last four to five months once I started using MyFitnessPal every day to track my food and to set caloric & macronutrient goals to achieve. I've been doing Crossfit the last year and a half and when I started at nearly 300lbs not only could I not participate in the Open last year due to injury but I wasn't able to do a lot of movements. Last week not only was I able to sign up for and participate in this years Crossfit Open 2016 but I was able to complete the first workout (16.1) as prescribed and didn't even have to scale any of the movements! I fought like hell to get through it but my progress has changed my life. I feel better and can't wait to get into Crossfit every day. Everyone has different methods and that's not important... what's important is that you found a method that works for you and decided enough was enough. Keep up the good work and we should both have some killer abs in a couple months for beach season! ;-)

This is fuckin badass. This isn't the first time you've stopped doin something to save your life so you know this kinda motivation is inside you. It sucks things sometimes have to reach such an obtuse level to find that motivation but the only thing that matters now is that you revived it. No one should wander aimlessly through life with no goals or aspirations and no care for their own well being or those around them. Makes you no different then the mindless, soulless drones whom society ignorantly hopes to replace us with in the nearby future.

I'm proud of you man. Can't really say that ive been too happy for you in the past couple years after the few talks we've had but sounds like I'm running out of things to be concerned about. I hope you stay with this life change and relish in all the glory that comes with being a healthy person. I know at least one very small person that will thank you dearly for it .....

Thanks for all the kind words from everyone. It means a lot. Like I said I still have a long way to go and this isn't just a diet it's an entire lifestyle change. Some things I've had to let go of and some things I hope never return. Again thanks for all the words so far.

Adam! Congrats on your weight loss! You look incredible and keep up the good work! I actually showed this story to my younger 19 year old brother. He's currently battling weight issues. I've talked to him a lot about losing it but it feels like it only sticks for a day or two. But I saw his face after he read your story and he's serious about losing weight while he's still young. I hope your story does it for him! Thank you!

Definitely man. I hope it does. If he need someone to talk to about it he can always hit me up. If you want pm me and shoot you my number. I know how hard it can hit. This is something I struggle with a lot in making the right decision. But I'm more than willing to listen and give some advice to anyone that wants to listen.
