Well done Sir! That must have been incredibly difficult to keep motivated and make such a drastic lifestyle change. Keep it up and stay strong.

Went to the movies on lunch since I had a long one today. First time I can remember sitting in a movie theater seat and not having to raise the arms to sit down and be comfortable. I felt like a boss sitting there using both arm rests.

Hell yeah it matters. I still have a hard time dealing with the weight loss as in sometimes I don't see it. But when I remind myself I've lost a whole adult I remember where I came from.

After living healthy a few years I think you'll forget about that part of the old you. I have my own habit I'd like to break (I dip) and it's difficult...I can't imagine your road.

Your story somewhat reminds me of I guy I used to work with...at ~ 5'-6" tall he was 450lbs+. I remember people treating him different because he was over weight...people were cruel and judged him in advance of knowing him...I can also tell you he was the first person to visit my son and I at St. Jude Childrens Hospital...maybe because I always treated him like he was the friend he actually was...in any case I know your life has/had more struggles than just the physical effects of being over weight.

Good job and taking on the task and kicking its ass!

I can tell you from the experiences I've had over the last few months, most people definitely treat you a lot different. And it's not in any certain thing. People used to try and hurry to get in the door in front of me going places or give me funny looks when I'd walk in places. now it's night and day different. I'm still a big guy but I guess I'm more of a manageable or maybe "normal" size idk. But people open doors for me, smile at me and extend hand shakes. It's definitely not fair.

I think one of my and a lot of people's struggles were when I joined the gym I felt like all eyes were on me. People weren't going to accept me because I was literally the biggest thing in the room. I would be laughed out. Guess what happened. Instead people at my gym came up to me and were like, "man you're killing it. Dude you're putting me to shame over here." Comments that just kept me moving. So my thing now is anytime I see someone new at the gym. Before I leave I make it a point to tell them how good of a job they did. I know it made a huge difference for me and I hope it will for someone else.
