I have an Xcover. Had 40mph gusts at the Grand Canyon and it was nerve-racking but held up well. I'm selling it tho to get into a skycamp or one of its clones that are even faster to setup and a little more aerodynamic. The MIA outdoors version looks to have the biggest mattress.

Please keep reminding them about reviews on their website. I'd like to leave one myself. May give them a hard time about it on IG too. :D

You guys have really got me thinking about the Warrior XL. The current deal and their responsiveness on IG really won me over and I may be pulling the trigger on it here very soon. It looks like it's about a foot shorter than the skycamp and comes with all the accessories out of the box with a solid warranty. Thanks @uploadadventure @texas angler for your insight. @texas angler mind giving us a short review of it here? :D:D

thanks! main things I’m curious about is overall build/zipper quality, mattress thickness/comfort. Everything else is pretty clear to me from their site/video and IG

Good morning. So I'll make this simple with a little back ground first. I had a number I was willing to spend and wanted a hard shell. But I also wanted answers to my questions - not via TW - but from the seller. Customer service aspects are huge to me. DA checked all those boxes. Almost $1K cheaper than the skycamp mini too so it was a no brainer. Zippers and tent material are better than anything I've had in my tent past - and have been on the ground 40+ years...see my note below about me being hard on my equipment. Side note - When I purchased mine last year, there was a lot of belly aching going on here at TW due to impatience with DA and their delivery window. So be patient when you order. They won't forget about you.

    Dislikes:
Locking latches. I'll replace these soon with something a bit more robust.
Mattress is OK but understand this is "normal" in rtts. I'm a side sleeper so the mattress is just not for me. But I have an exped now. May end up storing the rtt mattress in the house.

    Really like:
The plastic hard shell. I'm hard on my equipment. All of it. REALLY thought I made a mistake at first and thought I should have waited for the aluminum light weight shell they have. Nope. Have a few gouges on the side of the shell from low hanging tree. I have no doubt I'd already have a dent if I were to have went aluminum. That would peeze me off.

I'll end with customer service aspects of DA. Son and I had a beach trip a few weeks ago. In a hurry to get to the next fishing spot I slammed the shell shut and left my LED lights connected - really supposed to remove the cord prior to shutting. Anyway, I smashed the cord when I closed and was worried about not be able to use on next trip. Went to IG, said I was an idiot in a hurry and said I'd like to buy a backup. I had a new one in the mailbox a few days later at no charge. No DA t-shirt like I requested though! Dang it! :D

Headed to Mason/Llano river camping tonight. I WISH I had the cold weather liner. Get it if you cold weather camp. I know that will be my next DA purchase.

Just to follow this up... @KingZee
Locking latches are just like iKamper. But DA has a few options on latches, just let me know what you want (lock / Velcro / snowboard shoe style click to lock) ((as long as he still has some, no promises, I’ll find out))

Mattresses do suck. Working on that. The new ones coming should have a better mattress. Suggest getting a air mat like the ones discussed in this thread.

Cold weather line is really nice. It does keep the tent warmer. I mean. It’s still cold. But not as cold as just the thin fabric.

And one last note. Shipping is shipping. Can’t control how fast comes off the boat. It’s rough out there right now. The order was placed last year so it’s in for sure. March should be here.

oh and anyone who’s serious about buying shoot me a PM. I can save you a few bucks before you pull the trigger

May PM you to discuss those latches. Mine are "working" just fine. But want something a bit more secure - not velcro though.

    Oh man…
I’ve been pretty set on the iKamper, pulling the trigger next month on a tent. I research so much sometimes I end up not getting anything before something else comes out, then I have to research that...

That DA is definitely a cool tent with a very cool price tag. Anyone know if it will come in another color other than tan? It could be 100x better than anything out there but if it’s tan I can’t stand it.

I believe they are V3. They have a few things the V2s don't. @uploadadventure can clarify I'm sure.

Thanks TA. Just looked up the warrior. Nice tent for sure. Looks like the military themed color is their game. Lots of people dig that
