100% agree. This is our regular place we go at least 3-4 times a summer. It's in the valley so no tree cover but you can't beat the river spots.

I was told mine could support up to 300 pounds on top when it's folded. I have a CVT Mount Bachelor. I've strapped my 12 foot kayak to it a few times. No problem at all

But I need some recommendations regarding expedition leaf pack, which one should I get allpro, emu or deaver?

Got my hoist built this weekend. After a few trips to the store and trying a few different options I stayed with this one.

Went with an electric hoist with remote from Harbor freight to get the tent up and I used rachet straps to hold the weight.

So far the set up is working great.

I am on the lookout for a company that has RTTs on display. I would like to see one in person before shelling out $1500! REI is listed as a distributor but they don't have any in stock. Any other ideas? I live in the Cincinnati area.

I have Dakars. Tent and bed rack are about 200lbs, plus add about 150 more for gear/supplies. I have no sag, but i will be adding the Dakar AAL D29xl soon.

If you find someone local let me know. I'm in the Cincinnati area too. Maybe check out the Tri-state thread for someone that has a RTT. https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/cincinnati-tri-state-ohio-kentucky-indiana-thread.398744/

Great spot! Is that in the park or just outside? And did you have to pay for camping?

Yes it does when you go wheeling. Hwy speed no.
Cool two people on dakar. Any other folks use deaver? I know you can call them and make you a leaf pack according your loads. @fatfurious2 so buy the a Dakar leaf pack then add d29xl can you do that? Also if you add the d29xl leaf how many pounds additional load you get?

@HeadStrong Off-Road might have the new Dakars with the built in AAL. Mine are about a year old, and OME just updated the pack. I know with the D29xl you get 15mm of lift, and im guessing 300lb more capacity? but when empty or no weight, its not that great.

I run my RTT all the time, so its not a big deal for me.

I know @Lots2Learn58 runs AllPro standard leafs with a cap and gear. The Expos are for 500lbs+ constant weight. Then there is the new Expo 2.0 for 1000lbs constant weight..
Probably for this guy (if he had a truck)

Thanks for the info! I'm torn between deaver expedition 2 vs Dakar
