Interesting! I have a CVT Mt. Washington, and I think they only carried that model for about a year or so... I thought my tent was kind of a rarity, until now. Overland Pros must have bought the design or just copied it.

Mine's for sale BTW if anyone is interested

Welpt, fellas my Girlfriend has recently gotten herself an FJ (much to my enjoyment) and she now wants a RTT after sleeping in mine

She wants the hardshell ones and im wondering if anyone in here know where the deals for these are at. I know there was a GB on one but wanted to see if any of the owners of these can chime in. :spy:

I wanted to get the annex channel from CVT but the shipping was going to be $40 o_O. I did a search and came up with aluminum awning channel for RV's. Found an 8' piece for $15 and $10 shipping, SCORE! Cut it down to 51" and installed it in a few minutes. I think Camping World has 4' sections as well which would probably work.

@Tombiology70 this is the one I was telling you about at Jason's.

https://cascadiatents.com/shop/annex-channel/ If you click on "User Manual" it links you to a YouTube video.

Here's the link to the one I bought:

I wanted to buy it from CVT but the $40 shipping was just bullshit to me. The Inside Diameter of the one I bought matches everything on the tent so it will work no problem. BTW mine is mounted on a Tepui.

Cam, if you can't get in on Chandler's buy checkout the CVT Hardshell, I think they're on a 2nd Gen of that model. They have a shop in TN as well.

I don't have an awning, it's for the annex (big ass room at the bottom of the tent).

    @Drainbung
I was just going to order that channel at CVT today, but had not seen the $40 shipping. You just saved me some dough for more mods! I'm going to check with our local camping world tomorrow. I might just go with the 48" if they have it on hand. Otherwise, I'll order through that link you posted.
    Cheers!

Good deal. I love the people at CVT but the forty bones for shipping is absolute bullshit. Put it in a tube and throw it on a truck, come-on....

Most likely they have a standard flat fee for many accessories built into their store website. I've heard many great things about CVT, but Yeah, if I can source it that much cheaper, I'm going to. No worries, I'd still buy other goodies from them in the future.

i got to use mine for two night this weekend with a quick trip to some resort on the water. Not my typical type of camping but the in laws do it so its fun to be with them.

Tent performed great, pissing in the middle of the night is annoying but not too bad. I need a boot bag or the netting for sure as it was muddy and grassy so we used a grocery bag on a carabiner clip for the time being. I also want to do some LED strips with a on/off button for sure for the inside. I also had some condensation under the mattress once i folded it, i guess i need the anti condensation mat to problem solve? I have a list of wants and new stuff to help out the camping process now, but it was a huge success.

@Drainbung, thanks for the link for the annex channel. I was also looking to get the annex channel for the Tepui I have coming but the $40 shipping turned me off.

Anyone know the bolt size/pitch for the mounting hardware for Tepui? Looking to get security nuts locally if possible.
    Thanks!

I've been looking for the security nuts locally too. I checked ACE hardware as they have a pretty cool hardware selection compared to HD and Lowes. No go though. It looks like Fastenal has them, so I may check at their local store tomorrow. I'm not sure if they are the correct size for the bolts I have.

Thanks! That's what I'm looking for. If that's not the correct thread pitch for the supplied bolts, maybe I'll just get new bolts as well. I'll have to stop by the local fastenal sometime.
