It's a beautiful future filled with the slow-lane and gas stations. Haha

So I can't actually remember or not, but I swear I read or heard somewhere that Bobby from @Cascadia Tents was working on a way to create a shorter annex for when the tent is over the bed and not on the roof. I need the annex for my 95 lb. dog, but at the low height in the rain it makes for a soupy mess with all the fabric bunched up at the bottom. Anyone have any leads on that? I asked Chad from KB Voodoo what it would cost to change the components of my rack from the 10" height to the 18" height and he said ~ $350. At that point I'd prefer to buy a new, shorter annex, and leave my tent at the slightly more aerodynamic height it currently is.

    Yeah.
Got a sewing machine? Or, maybe check with a local upholstery shop. You could shorten it yourself, although the base might be a bit tricky since it needs to get a little smaller the shorter you go. Interesting project, though, I would consider learning how to sew for that.

    Yeah.
Some people have added foam, but my vote is the ExPed MegaMat Duo (for 56" wide tents). That thing is awesome.

+1 on the pee bottle. I use one of those Ozarka 101 oz. water jugs.

Wide mouth gatorade bottles work for me. Otherwise, I just drink enough to pass out cold til morning :drunk:

These 3 liter urine bottles from Amazon are pure magic for an RTT. Keep it in your shoe bag or stand it up in the corner. The cap is secure so if it tips over, you're good. If you can fill it in one night, you win the trophy. Enough for 4 or 5 really substantial pees before you even have to watch it. Nice big wide tops so you don't have to worry about aim when you're half asleep.

    Yeah.
^ That is brilliant. That's the same size as the Ozarka bottles, which I have almost half-filled overnight. While impressive, not trophy-worthy.

My wife got me a glow-in-the dark pee bottle, but the kind they would give you at the hospital. The top is angled, more for using when you are lying in a hospital bed. And, probably too small for a ten beer night.

My tent isn't designed with the track system to put those slide-in shoe bags on, so I got one from Tepui that velcro straps to the top of my ladder so I still have 2 bags. The are the deeper bags for boots/bottles and they had a matching color.

Bad picture, but you get the idea. I put my shoes and a bottle of drinking water in one, and my pee bottle in the other.

I just use one of these nets for shoes, plus it's super cheap, My shoes have yet to get wet during rain storms
