This was last week of september. I'm holding onto hope for a warm october, but September has been refund worthy, I want my summer back.

Not much to declare, here is a photo dump.IMG_20180915_071805.jpgNw Ont sunrise, while hunting for my dog, who uncharacteristically vanished on me..
    IMG_20180915_072712.jpg
I knew it had to be important dog stuff..

Getting closer to regaining some control over my life, been on a nightmare project that is nearing completion, hopefully I'll be able to rededicate myself to unhealthy amounts of time doing truck-stuff. I am months behind on some very simple stuff, have a @bfeth package that needs to be addressed stat, and a growing exhaust issue with no easy solution. and another winter (oh god winter tire season is coming, I amanot ready) without a garage of my own ..
    IMG_20180808_210735.jpg
    Happy October e'er one

all I have to say is if it doesn't warm up for most of october I'm gonna start checking out real estate in Texas ..

Saw another taco with the flags drive past last week and had to kick myself,
Haven't washed the truck since I got my order.:anonymous:

Pretty sure my little brother has his whip done up at least.. I'll get them stickers stuck on when/if this rain/snow stops.

Small world, my Mum was born and raised in Kenora, my grandparents moved to Keewatin under the bay side of the old trans-can bridge! I spent a good part of every summer up there, some of my best memories!

this is a first.. for me...

I suppose I'm lucky it held air long enough to get me home.. Now to find replacement rubber before I hit the highway to see family.. Somehow I don't think I should drive on this..

word to the wise, cut your stumps flush, chainsaw chains are cheaper than truck tires

How tough is it to put the cap on and off?

Depends on whether you have the right tools/second set of hands.
Takes me 20 minutes with a crescent wrench to pull the bolts from the bedrail and shimmy it off without doing damage(alone.. but super not recommended to do this, it sucks). Could be a 5 minute job with the right tools and a good place to store the cap.

I've seen it around here guys using a hoist thing in their garage.. Would make it very fast and easy..8810cb9354b2c5f38c89bf2cdf1e7adf.jpg

also worth mentioning that it can damage dust/weather seals.. A truly weatherproof cap is probably not removeable without screwing that up..

Gotcha. I have been looking for a solution that would allow me to have my tonneau cover on during my DD / normal times and have a covered area like a cap that would allow to travel with the dogs in the bed and keep them secured.

Maybe a soft cap would be the right solution, but could be annoying to remove one and install the other back and forth.

    makes sense..

but i say pshh to tonneau covers
I'd just go for the cap full time..

It's an easy call for me, Short box is too small for everything anyway, and a lot of my full time tools don't fit under a tonneau.

IMO truck looks better with a cap on.
get a cap, sell the cover:thumbsup:

    what dogs you got?

If I didn't spend enough time with stuff taller than the cap.

took the dog out for a quick run and facilities and had a neighbours offleash husky run up and say hi..

quickly ran inside to grab a muzzle but Gem seemed to keep her cool, for the most part.. let them run around for an hour and went to find the owner.. I'm hopeing to recruit a pulling partner for my one dog skijor team..
    IMG_20190106_201755.jpg
we aren't fast, we aren't pretty... but skijor is a wicked sport

    IMG_20190109_162057.jpg
Gorgeous dog, I used to prefer a husky before my first pitbull. Hopefully the dogs owners don't mind if I throw her in a truck and take her on hikes, if they're leaving her outside off leash it's almost an invitation
