I know this is not a Tacoma but I just wanted to share my build with you guys! A lot of the SoCal guys know me and know how much I enjoy Off-Roading and Photography! So anyway I finally got around to buying my own rig! :D

I picked up a 1984 Toyota 4Runner. My buddy Ralph, my brother Denny, and myself headed out to west LA to check it out a couple of weeks ago...here are the specs.

    1984 Toyota 4Runner
    Rebuilt 22R
    Weber 32/36 Tuned Carb
    Downey Off-Road Headers
    5.29 Gears F&R
    Detroit Lockers F&R
    All Pro Chromoly Birfields
4Runner V6 rear axle (wider track)
1.5" Spacers up front to match the rear
IFS Calipers and LC Vented Rotors
    SS Brake lines all around

The passenger side body is a little rough, it needs new fenders and I need a switch for the rear power window, little misc things that need to get taken care of. Here is how it sat in my backyard after we picked it up!

I've got a lot planned but I need to get my ass in gear and find another job so I can start spending on this thing. My Oil gauge was not working so I went to the shop and I grabbed my old one from the CRX and installed it into the 4Runner today. I have to order a new sending unit but at least with the gauge I have a better idea of whats going on! :D Plus it looks cool!

And I took the top off! I need to find me some corner lights for the front so I don't get hassled by the cops.

Took it out on it's maiden voyage and it was a success :) My truck made it all the way to Johnson Valley took some beating from the rocks, and my driving! And then she took us home with no problems! Looks like I might be getting those 4.7's sooner then I thought :D

Here are some shots that Kenny and a few other people took...I'm still trying to find anymore that anyone else took! Denny took some video of the rock carnage I got! As soon as he get's it up or transferred to my laptop I will post it up!!

Awesome ride. Brought a tear to my eye. My first vehicle was an 84 pickup. Whited out with a 3" lift and 31's. Those 22R motors are amazingly durable. Just enough trail damage to be bad ass. Great score, man.
