I will def keep them coming...:) Just keep your eyes pealed fellas. These are all the updates I have for tonight. But this will be a ongoing build!

    The plan is to:

    "Bob" the rear
    Sliders
    Front Bumper
    Rear Bumper
    New springs/Shocks
    High Steer
    Rebuild the axles
Exocage or cab cage tied into the rollbar
    New Tires
    Beadlocks
    Halfdoors
    add a 2nd transfer case
    and EFI conversion

Eventually upgrade the Axles (Diamond, or Rock Assault) and 3 Link the front and rear

So well see how long it takes me to do all that...lol!

I don't think so bro...it's like $800-$1000 for the propane kit...my 84 22R motor uses the same head from an 84 Celica with EFI so all I need is the EFI conponents as oppose to the whole EFI engine. We have ton's of Junk yards around here with 22R EFI parts :) so it would be cheaper for me to piece together my EFI setup then go with a propane kit.

i knew it was expensive...but out here its tough to get hands on EFI stuff for the 22r...so ease vs cost = propane here

if you can get your hands on the toyota EFI stuff then id def do that...

Very nice Marlon. Love to see those early 4Runners. I had an '89 that I sold for my first Tacoma. I miss that truck. Your gonna love those 4.7's man. Nothing beats a good set of low gears.

    Great rig. Congrats.:woot:

Thanks Fellas!! My gears should be in tomorrow!! :woot: So hopefully I can get them installed before the end of the week!! :D I finally got my brakes upgraded today! New IFS Calipers up front with new Vented LC rotors, I also rebuilt the locking hubs. The calipers and rotors that were on there were shot and no good anymore! So the new stuff made a world of a difference!

So I got the 4.7 gears installed and man what a mission that was!! I am glad I did it at the shop...I don't know how I would have pressed out the shaft bearing at the house by myself! lol...I did the whole install myself, I dropped the t-case tore it apart like the instructions, ohhh and let me tell you! Those snap rings are a bitch and half to take off!! Especially the thicker ones! I wanted to shoot that thing! But eventually they came off with a little ingenuity on my part! I cleaned all the housings on the part washer, I was going to paint them like the inchworms ones but I decided against it just because it would have been more time consuming! :p

I put in all the gears clearanced the housing and shift forks like your suppose too! Torqued everything down to specs put all the gaskets on installed the t-case back on bolted up the drive shafts, filled it up with gear oil, and fired her right up! BUT!!! She wouldn't move!! LOL it's funny now!!! but I was sweating balls and pissed! Eventually I figured it out and I didn't have my shift forks in the correct position in conjunction with the shifter I had set it on Neutral (Stupid Fwd shift) once I figured out how the forks are supposed to be position I aligned everything the way it should put the shifter back on and WALA!!! It all worked as it should!

Tested out the 4.7 on a few parking lot bumps and sidewalks and it was fucken awesome!!! I can't wait to get out and wheel that thing and just crawl over everything!!! Now I just have to get my carb tuned correctly for the inclines and declines to keep it from stalling and I should be good to go!! :D

I feel way more comfortable now doing a T-Case upgrades and rebuilds!! It's so easy now that I think about it! The best part of today was not the gears but all the valuable information that I just learned and picked up! :)

Well I rattle canned the truck black! :D And I also trimmed the front fenders a bit! :) I found an old piece of weather stripping from my CRX and pretty much cut it to size to use on the edges of the Fenders! No more rubbing issues at all as confirmed by today's break in of the 4.7's at Cleghorn! Man it was so freaking cool just pointing the truck every which way and just enjoying her crawl over everything :D Just like Brent said at Bull Frog it is literally just point and shoot now! And the trial did not smell like burned clutch this time around!!

I got tired of the black and blue color scheme! So now she's just Ghetto Black Pearl!

    Nicely trimmed fenders!! :)

It got dark on me so I stopped painting you can see I did not finish the hood or roof... So I just through up a TWA Shout-out right quick!!

Paint looks great especially considering it's spray paint. Fenders look clean as well. Nicely done.
