Ok, i have looked around a lot and not finding much. I am new to this so it could be me.
I am looking to get some 255/75 17 tires on my ‘17 sr5. Would they fit with no lift? What would I have to do to get them to fit? Thanks so much.

I've got a 2" Bilstein/HS coils and rear AAL lift coming in a few weeks. According to this chart 255/75/17 would fit without lift on my TRD Sport. I assume that means no rubbing and no trimming. Would there be any issues with these fitting the stock sport wheels? Speedo/odometer issues?

I dont foresee any issues. You can go here to compare stock tire size to the new ones to compute the difference in mpgs.

Icon Rebound 17x8.5 w 0 offset mounted on Cooper ST Maxx 255/80r17. Tires just barely clear the fender flare while driving normally, slight rub when articulating. No spacers, and i think they fit perfectly if you like your tires to be even with the fender.

Is anyone using spacers? I’d like for them to stick out a ways so they look bigger... :muscleflexing: but I don’t want to chop anything.

Has anyone on here every run Cooper Discoverer XT/4 tires in LT235/85R16? It sounded like a nice tire to use for some of the awful winter driving we get around here, and all the terrible road conditions in general because our roads are only paved in the loosest sense of the word...

Any chance you could put one on a bathroom scale before mounting?

I am currently deciding between 265/70/17s and 275/55/17s. Anyone have personal experience with both? Which did you prefer and why?

They are being delivered to the tire shop but I’ll try to weigh one before they mount.

Is everyone running stock suspension on the before mentioned tire sizes?

I'm considering 255/80/17 but have seen some caution advising against airing down too low on an 8.5" wheel, which I have. How low are people reliably getting?

That would be at the extreme end of the range for a 255 ... I never air down more than 18-20 anyways. But I'm going 255 next and I have 8" wheels. Subbed for interest.

Got them mounted up and on the truck. I wasn’t able to weigh the tires separately. I did however weigh my 16” TRD PRO wheels (26.8 lbs) before I dropped them at the shop. I then weighed both together once I got home.

255/85r16 DCEC with 16” TRD PRO wheel was 77.8 lbs. So it seems the tire is around 51lbs give or take some for wheel weights and differences in scales.
