phew! this mod has me a bit more curious, i am trying to see if there are patterns as to which trucks this will work on, and which ones it raises hell on. so far, its pretty flippin random... even though most of them on this thread are dc** sport packages.

 

auto vs manual? IDK, the two pole does not work at all

 

So guys, still haven't figured out why this mod doesn't work on my truck, 07, no atrac, no locker, automatic, tried the two pole switch, doesn't work, tried three pole, popped the 10A mini? Thoughts?

 

you're doing something wrong, try another method (maybe landphils)

Realized I am using a SPST switch, I need to buy a SPDT switch.

 

It's on TN; google "landphil abs disable" and you will see it.

I need to get a SPDT switch and try it out.

If you don't want to cut any wires and don't care about restarting the truck you can just put the ABS fuse on a switch. I did that in my last 05 and I'll be doing it on this one shortly. I've been driving since 89 and I have never driven something with a worse ABS system than these second gen Tacomas. Whenever it snows I just shut it off or risk sliding into intersections, missing turns, etc.

 

Got no problem with cutting wires, just want to make sure i cut the right ones

 

You don't have to cut any wires with the Landphil method
