Did it have a place for a ground, or does anyone have pics of the switch that they used

So what i have gathered from this version of this mod is that it is most compatible with the sr5 model without the locking diff and trac control. Would that be accurate?

many thanks to everyone who has posted these abs mods. with all the snow we're getting in colorado, it's a lifesaver. slamming on the brakes on snow is easier on my nerves now that i can get rid of that blasted abs.

i have a 2007 trd sport, dcsb, 4x4. plain. no VSC, no diff lock, no traction control, nothing. you need a SPDT ON/ON switch with three prongs in back so you can ground it.

i used the switch in the landphil method which is a Cherry KG (P/N KGC2BNB1BBB) i bought from here.

wired it all up just like you described in this thread with a ground wire.

    here's the switch in place:

here are the lights i get when i'm in 4x4 and i flip the switch:

    thanks again.

I'm late to the thread, wish I had discovered it sooner. I usually just pull a fuse. I'll do this mod soon.

My 1990 Chevy Lumina had ABS. My 88 Fiero and 86 Camaro didn't.

    I also noticed this....20151014_144333.jpg

I bought this truck new. I didn't do this. There's a brown wire tapped into a blue wire. Can't see where is goes. Anyone else notice this when trying this mod?

Just remembered I had a remote starter put in. That must be it.

The real issue here is I can't get my abs disabled. I have tried 2 methods with no luck. I may have to end up pulling the fuse when the snow starts to fly. I was hoping for a switch though.

My ABS recently stopped working on it's own. I'm not going to fight it.

Hi I have a 2005 Tacoma 4WD that I am having the same issues with in the snow/icy roads/ wet roads, etc. I cannot seem to get my truck to stop even coming up to a stop sign on snowy roads slowly the abs kicks in and sends me into a death slide. I cannot imagine taking this truck down some of the steep roads where I live. The abs seems to kick in way to easy and send me sliding. I had a 99 Tacoma that acted nothing like this I guess because it didn't have abs. My mechanic who i trust said its normal for this truck. I see where you pulled the abs fuse. How does your truck drive now on bad roads? Does it stop without sliding now? I know this is an old post just came across it and hoping for some advice. Thanks!!

Hey can anybody confirm if the third gen's abs can be disabled similarly? Curious about this for my impending big old brake upgrade

Agreed! Hit a whoop section the other day with my new truck, god damn brake pedal was pulsing hard and not allowing me to stop. #sketch
