elocker 3rd is weaker than a sport 3rd , you want a sport housing and 3rd. The sport 3rd has the supporting bearing truss which makes it so much better.

^What he said. With the sport, the carrier bearings are shimmed instead of screw in adjusters. The pinion shaft is larger, the bearings are slightly lager. The ring gear has 12 bolts instead of 10. But it's still just a 8" ring gear.

I used to beat the hell out of my old Prerunner and took some pretty similar looking hits that I was sure must have bent the frame. But somehow it came through just fine and I ended up selling it to pick up a different truck.

Sorry that happened to you, OP. I still remember that feeling of that sudden realization that I done outdrove myself. Haha. Hope they're able to fi(cks) it!

Can't remember what year tacoma had the slightly better motor mounts. But you should look at yours closely to ensure they didn't push/ punch into your frame.

Dang, that was a gnarly hit. But like previously said it could have been way worse. At least everyone walked away uninsured.

    Hey @ProForce,

Damn that was a good hit- thanks for posting the vids. Looks like you were 20-30 yards from pavement...it's a tough one to take.

Good luck w the repairs and upcoming wedding. Hope it's everything you and your fiance want it to be.

Gents- Last night I posted on this thread about guns being the cause of this accident. It was a joking reference about how some liberals blame guns on everything. I even received 2 'likes' to my post. It was # 113

This morning my comments are completely gone. No record of my post, no reference to the 'likes' and no notification from the moderators that I have done something wrong. Can somebody fill me in as to what happened?

A liberal moderator didn't appreciate your posts and the intrusion being in their "safe place." Haha.

I have no clue, figured I would stir the pot.

I didn't get any notification about a post/tag/quote. You sure it went through. I was up as late at 11pm but saw nothing

Back on topic.... coilovers are fixed and im back on the road. Surprisingly it drives straight as an arrow, no vibrations, and im getting better mpg than ever before  this is probably from the nice rake i have. I hear a very very faint clunk during stop and go, but can't find the source. Will look over engine mounts, lca mounts, and leaf spring mounts again tonight.

The rear view mirror was already useless before from the camper shell, but now it's EXTRA useless since all i can see is the roof of the camper shell haha

    More to come

It was there, I read it, nothing to worry about since it was a really bad joke politicizing anti-2nd amendment opinions on the gun control issue.

Since apparently you lack the ability to read the TacomaWorld code of conduct...allow me. Read below. It has nothing to do with liberal or conservative. It's a zero politics rule on this site. If you can't follow that, your tenure here will be short lived. And this is coming from a gun toting redneck with three trucks and belt fed pew pew toys in his safe.

See my post above...you fall into that category too.
