I rather buy this than the Tacoma. Honestly doesn’t look bad.

I think looking at this side view we can see the inspiration for the shape.

Weren’t you one of the first in line to buy a 4G Tacoma?

    They pretty much look identical…

Dunno, all SUVs pretty much look the same, only so much you can do.

I like that the brought back the rear side window that wraps up into the roof. The squared off fenders do harken back to the original too, albeit it does look like a baby Sequoia, as the Tacoma looks like a baby Tundra.

The Limited trim definitely looks like a Sequoia

It does, honestly usually not a fan of the limited trim, but looks wise it isn’t too bad, believe it is the color coded flares, makes it look less obnoxious. Think I like the front end better than the 4G Tacoma. Was never a fan of the 5th Gen 4R, couldn’t stand the “Predator” or “Large Mouth Bass” grill.

It is! Always been a fan of the aqua marine and teals. Get so sick of different shades of grey, even though my Tacoma is Mag Grey, wasn’t my first choice.

Lol! since the 4G Taco had time to marinate, it has grown on me. 4R wasn’t a huge surprise, kinda nice they look similar again like how it used to be.

anyone else notice the air dam is reasonable looking compared to the taco? Wonder if it will bolt up the same?

Perhaps the 4R has slightly better aerodynamics than the Taco, why they were able to make it smaller.

I was and still considering, they are not, the lines, bubbliness, grill, etc. just make this thing hideous. Especially compared to the outgoing gen which I still think looks amazing.

Really? Look nearly identical to me. Willing to bet the front clips are interchangeable.

Never cared for the 5th Gen 4R, can’t stand the grill. As they say “to each their own” :)

I’m cool with the looks. I am not cool with them moving the second row forward. It was done for the hybrid battery, but it’s still forward on the non hybrid. For folks that previously picked the runner for rear seat roominess, it’s gone now.

More cargo space, but I don’t need that. #fail

On the flip side, those of us who have no need for rear seats…more cargo room is a win! One man’s misery is another man’s joy. :)

Be nice if the offered a more utility version with no rear seat like it was originally. My ‘85 was like that .

well it hasnt even been 24 hours since the official coverage but its growing on me more. Pro has some military vibes.

Im super curious how the seating position of the 6g4r and the 4gtaco compare to the current 4 runner. sitting in the current 4 runner feels proper, upright, and how it should. I have yet to sit in a new taco and people say its better, but is it as good as the current 4r?
