    Let's talk beer.

Most sellers are stuck on Budweiser being the "American Beer" but for those who already know Anheuser-Busch Sold out! Of course this is a joke to those who have lived it from the beginning (except for those who still think this is true).

    So what's the deal?

Sellers (tv, radio, broadcast) make incentive on advertising the brand.

Sure. I'd do it if I could make an extra $.

So... Why advertise an "American Beer?" By sponsoring multiple sports while still advertising it even when the company sold out years ago?

America needs to find it's NEW American beer company that hasn't sold out.

    Buy local, support local!

You know what though....I have heard that Bud on tap, fresh tastes nothing like what it does after it has been sitting around for a while (which is most often the case).

Is that because it was brewed in the US by Coors? Sure the recipe hasn't changed but, the true American beer is still not true!

This is more or less a new race for the NEW American beer, except I have a feeling the old timers found a price for their silence.

Not sure. Just think it has to do with how fresh it is.
Yeah, the big players are pretty much cashing out to the highest bidder.
But a true American beer is the one you can get at you local brewer.
As for American style. Not sure what that would be. I know here in NE we tend to pride ourselves on the NE IPA. :D

Germany, being a mostly big lager fan, you must have started a respect for our fizzy yellow beer and have grown into another favor of flavor. Thus why we should promote a new "American Beer!"

Yuengling has been around since 1829. I really enjoy it and would buy it over the other "big box" beers but do to some crazy distributor agreements it is not available in Kentucky. For the time being when I just want some cheap beer to pound I go for Coors. If I want something to sip on and enjoy I go with a 6er from one of the numerous local breweries. I think beer conesours will never settle with one particular beer or brewery and the "drink beer like water" crowd will always buy whats easily accessible, cheap and has the best commercials. That happens to be Bud/BL. Not that long ago at all I use to buy PBR because it was crazy cheap, I didn't care for the taste but after 2 or 3 they started going down easy. I went to buy some a while back for old times sake and couldn't believe the cost. Double what I used to pay. Crazy hipsters!

    D. G. Yuengling & Son is the oldest operating brewing company in the United States, established in 1829. It is one of the largest breweries by volume in the country. Based on volume sold in 2016, Yuengling was the top craft beer company in the U.S.Wikipedia

The family-owned brewery has traditionally changed ownership through the purchase of the company by the offspring of the previous owner.[5] Due to the popularity of Yuengling Traditional Lager in Pennsylvania and the Delaware Valley (including South Jersey), it can in some bars be ordered by simply asking for a lager.[6][7]

This is what I drink, just because it is beer made by an old family owned American company.

I am not too particular, and I will support a small family owned operation over a large Corporation any day and twice on Sunday.

Yuengling is my choice for a domestic American beer. Luckily, I live in PA where it's on tap in almost every bar around. I always have a case in the refrigerator so I can enjoy my favorite "Chinese" beer. Ying Ling.

We don't need an American beer company or brew. I like variety and don't want to settle on anything.

I'm not sure why Bud Light is so popular though.

It tastes like shit. Watered down shit.

Coors Light is OK but if I'm going for a light beer it's Miller Lite.

I mostly enjoy local brews and I do enjoy the seasonals and "Craft" beers Leinnie, Sam Adams, and New Belgium puts out.

Yuengling is a beer I only drink on draft. For some reason the cans and bottles don't taste anything like the draft version. Same thing with Sam Adams Boston Lager, it just isn't the same if it's not out of the tap.

LOL... down here in southern PA I have heard more than once one of my Hispanic brothers order a "Jing-Ling." But yeah, it's my go-to domestic beer also.

Another note: My local town now has three microbreweries and one small 'nanobrewery'. I try to support them but the inconsistency is ridiculous. The same beer tastes completely different just a few weeks later.
Actually the nano does it best, so I tend to go there more often.

Unless the beer is Native American then any Import beer could be a True American Beer.

You got it. Work there but live in the bustling metropolis of Glenville. I mostly stick to the Warehouse pub now.

I have yet to go to any of the local breweries. I know, I'm terrible.
