I used the search function on this site but it didn't lead to much! Not many people changed there plugs on the 3rd gen yet. The denso part number he provided is not in stock around me and AutoZone and orally specked the denso TT for my truck but the gap on that is .42 and I do not think that would work so well. I posted a question for OP to add the exact factory replacement on both parts numbers for Denso and NGK like there is for the other generations to have a couple of options. Offering to help but having a bad attitude about it is as if he didn't help at all! This site is for tacoma owners to find answers related to there vehicle in one place from people that have done the homework and wish to pass the knowledge along. It's not like I asked about the biggest tire I can fit without lift there is literally like 4 threads on 3ed gen spark plugs on here and not much information came out if them!

    first, you say
not many people changed plugs on 3rd gen yet

where do you get that info from ? this is complete bullshit.

anyhow, use an internet search engine, for craps sake man.

ALL plugs can be cross referenced to other manufacturer plugs that are compatible.

DO YOU WANT US TO EXPLICITLY HOLD YOU HAND FOR EVERYTHING YOU CAN COME UP WITH AND WHINE ABOUT ?

god damn turn in your man card, or have your mom and dad do this for you if you cannot figure it out
we are not hiding anything from you, but you do have to get off your butt --at least a little bit-- and do some things for yourself

frickin NEG me for writing this, but holy hell you are needy, and I am wicked cranky about it because I TRIED to help earlier and that just wasn't good enough for you...picking it all apart like I didn't give you the answer you wanted. daymn

You've got to be kidding. Are you a Millennial? You can go to ANY parts store (O'Reilly's. Autonzone, NAPA, Advance, Autozone tell them the year of the vehicle, the engine and get Denso parts.

They all show the Denso iridium TT is the right part Wich will fit bit it’s not the correct replacement according to the conversation above! Autozone and orally both spacecked out the TT as well, So Yeih use the search function! I rather be sure and ask Tacoma world as it’s suppose to be the go to sight for owners to exanchge there findings!

scocar - Thanks for the link for Camelback Toyota, I may use this for parts in the future, also https://wholesaledirect.moderntoyota.com/spark-plugs/2017-toyota-tacoma, they are fairly local to me, in NC at least. Unfortunately, for you 3.5ers, that price appears to be per plug as they are iridium, may only need to be replaced at 60K miles, but appear to be twice the price of Iridums for the 4.0 which I have. I just purchased Denso 3381's for $3.03 per plug copper, 3421 Iridium would have been $5.71 per plug from Rock Auto. Denso over NGK due to less wear per TW comments, but put NGKs in my 67 Camaro based on Chevy owner comments. Hopefully, the price 3.5 plugs would go lower as more engines are sold.

They would also know you haven’t done any maintenance to your Tacoma if they were factory plugs. I’ve been working in dealership repair shop as a service writer for 17 years. I’ve had 1 manufacturer send out a field rep on a blown engine under warranty out of hundreds of blown engines(I worked for KIA , you can’t make money at Toyota) and that was one of the first Ford 6.0l diesel to run away and grenade itself the rest required authorization and your good. A tech or a writer isn’t going to tell the manufacturer it has the wrong plugs. Even under warranty a short block on a four banger is a nice payday, V6 or V8s are even better. If it isn’t heavily modified it will get fixed. Besides manufacturers are terrified of the internet and lawsuits, had a customer tow in a 2017 Sorento with 23k on it and a seized engine. Turns out she had never changed the oil, in 23,000 because her brand new car didn’t have an oil change sticker in the windshield! After a bad review or two and some legal threats KIA covered the repairs, gave her 5 free oil changes and add 23k to the 100k powertrain. It isn’t about warranty, they know that warranty is going to cost between x-z 10s of millions next year. It comes down to money and keeping their 2 plug suppliers happy. So they split the supply contract down the middle and made it transparent as possible. Half and half. It always boils down to dollars and cents or yen, always.

Now, this one, I'll take a stab at. Back in the last century, before distributorless ignition and fuel injection, conventional wisdom would have been a wider gap for a smoother idle and a narrower gap for reliable high speed firing.
