He also said something about "never hunt mosquito with cannon". Maybe one one of his associates was a bit over-eager?

My BIL got me this teen tiny, very small flashlight for Christmas. Did I mention how small it is? As I was checking it out he was saying "make sure you don't look..." and at that moment I turned it on. It was facing me. Holy cow, I was seeing spots 10 minutes later.

There are 3 levels of brightness you can toggle through. Not surprisingly, the sun level only last a few minutes. Lower levels last much longer. It is plug in rechargeable and has a strong magnet on the butt end. All metal, feels like a quality product.

Plug in good. Trying to go that way across the board. If a kid doesn't motivate you this way, nothing will.

So, the 3 levels are Sun, Meteor, and Landing Commercial Aircraft?

An Olight has been in my pocket for over 7 years.
Here at my two most recent ones.
These ones (and the baton 4) take a rechargable "16340" lithium ion battery (similar to a CR123A battery)

    I haven't ordered a baton 4 yet...

Apparently there are more than 3 light levels and maybe plug-in isn't exactly the right terminology. I actually hadn't looked at the directions until a few minutes ago.

See the specs below for light levels. The recharge is a round disk than sticks to the bottom of the flashlight via magnet.

That post is good enough for me to buy one. If you have been carrying one around for 7 years (doesn't matter if they have been different models) then you obviously trust in it. Ordered.

Thanks guys, now my wife is going to yell at me. :notsure:

Plus I like the charging platform, a magnetic disk? SOLD!!

I feel I need to reiterate this - don't have it pointing, even obliquely, towards your face when you turn it on. I just fucking did it again by accident. I'm making it a habit to set it to the lowest setting when I turn it off (it turns on at whatever level it's at when it's turned off).

    Clearly I need adult supervision.
