All my friends vape, they have mods made by a brand called "Smok." I'm not into vaping that much, but do enjoy some Red Man with my dad from time to time, the Golden Blend is the best!

I think they're Chinese clones from what I've been told. You used to dip as well? I can't stand dip... having tobacco under my lip makes me lose patience.

"While the NNAL level in E-cig smokers is 97% lower than in tobacco smokers, nonetheless, it is significant higher than in nonsmokers (50). This finding indicates that nitrosation of nicotine occurs in the human body and that ECS is potentially carcinogenic."

This is semantics if I ever saw it. It boils down to the fact that they are unable to conduct a massive epidemiological study in the short term so they're trying to draw conclusions from mice. The underlying tone of the study shows alarmism towards youth that are picking up e-cigs thinking that it is safe - a youth that never smoked cigarettes (a sentiment mirrored in the short JHH article someone else linked). That I totally understand, and there's a moral discussion there.. but when I was younger, I smoked cigarettes. I would guess that there is a large overlap between kids now that use e-cigs and those who would have smoked if they were born 10 years earlier. Which national health crisis would you rather have? I'll pick e-cigs all day. 97% is a huge reduction of risk.

But off the record. Juul kids are annoying as fuck, because a huge portion of them HAVE never smoked (and some grew up when they definitely could have smoked) and are not using it to be healthiER because they weren't addicted to smoking. What they don't know is that those things have way more nicotine than a 3mg e-liquid, and they use evasive tactics like saying the "percent" of nicotine in a "pod". Whatever that means.. I hit one once and could tell it had a LOT of nic, as much as I might have been using when I first switched over from cigarettes ...Gettin em all hooked! Available at a gas station near you! Don't try to put computer files on it though, that's not what it's for. So Juul is essentially tarnishing the otherwise decent reputation of vaping by doing the worst thing imaginable, exploiting children. NOT THE CHILDREN!

Yes vaping is bad for you. But it is much less bad and people are willing to accept those risks, as long as they are educated about them. And I do think that advertising on TV should not be allowed for addictive substances.. even alcohol. They are always deceptive in their practices (aka look how cool you'll be etc).. but then again, what advertisement isn't?

It's kind of pointless in the broader picture though.. when obesity, type II Diabetes and opioid abuse are plaguing the country.. it's just much easier to demonize something that is tangentially related to those big bad tobacco companies that want nothing more than to get us hooked and slowly kill us for profit. If they had a semblance of morality, they would completely stop producing cigarettes so they would no longer be on the market, and would only offer e-cigs to consumers.

I’ll hit a juul every once in a while, maybe throw a candy chew in once or twice a day, not on the weekends though.

FWIW I am a naturally anxious person, not quite enough to go on meds but up there. I have been a nail biter for pretty much my whole life and I'm always foot tapping or leg shaking or whatever. Vaping is a good thing for me.. way better than smoking of course. Either that or I can just carry a punching bag with me or something to constantly play with. (Yes I bought a fidget spinner when they were popular LOL.. :anonymous:)

I don't disagree with this. I haven't had a cigarette in over 3 years. I started vaping to replace cigarettes but you are correct. It is a crutch I freely admit. I started off on 24 mgs and I'm down to 3 mgs now. I hope that I can slowly wean myself off of it. But right now it is just a conditioning thing for me. I wish I had the willpower like you and maybe I will someday. But until then I feel that vaping is "slightly" better than the 7000 + chemicals that you get for smoking a cigarette. I'm certainly not saying that vaping is good. I'm sure over the long haul it isn't good. So hopefully I can get off nicotine also. I've kicked everything else so this is my last thing. Good job on quitting cold turkey. Wish I had that willpower.

Drag VooPoo mod for when I'm around the house and a Smok Nord for when I'm away from the house since it fits in my pocket.

I vape, but don't go around posting anymore bout it lol. The media shit was all about trying to extrapolate the "street drug wax cartridges" as the same thing as people who vape with nicotine.

No studies have shown those people who were hospitalized were due to ur standard nicotine vaper. All those people had bought wax cartridges from their buddy on the street and got sick from it.

But back to vaping, I use a broadside clone I got 2.5 years ago for vaping. Works still great, but thinking bout getting another one bc the backing plate that the bottom screws into has worn down

I never really saw the concern with vaping nicotine it was always about the THC vape products. But I've honestly seen some heavy cigarette smokers "quit" smoking cigarettes because of vaping. Some started at a real high nic level of course but I know a guy who smoked more than 2 packs a day and has gotten down to using a mod with 3mg nic in it and not have to hit it as much and overall he looks healthier than he did before. Just was wondering if anyone had any ill side effects to vaping nic.

Not bashing on vapers by any means how some people always gotta talk crap about people who vape

I switched from cigarettes to vaping at least 3 years ago. Within the first month I felt generally better overall. I started with 3 mg and now alternate between that and 0 mg. Sometimes I mix the 0 mg and 3 mg. The place I get my juice from does not offer less than 3 mg, so I make my own.
