Hey good people of Central Texas! Was so stoked after a very long day in the garage yesterday with the help of @JustDSM (who was freaking awesome). Not only did we get my new (to me) rear end installed but also a better rear leaf setup. On top of that he tuned my computer and DAMN!! I’m so fuckin impressed it’s crazy. Made the hour plus drive back to my pad such an enjoyable experience.

If anyone here hasn’t taken advantage of the services he provides tuning our trucks then you don’t know what you are missing. Made my truck on 285’s drive so much better at highway speeds (and higher)! Now driving in town is much improved as well. All around awesome tune and a very knowledgeable person so only wish I had done this sooner.

What kind of info does @JustDSM have on tuning?

 

I pretty much tune all of the 2nd Gen guys with HPtuners. Most of the exploits can be found here (https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/hp-tuners-for-2005-2015.600793/) but in summary I offer a variety of services for 2nd Gen's.

For most folks I am able to offer unique and personalized tuning through the HPTuners VCM suite. I tune both N/A and S/C trucks in totally stock form to more wild setups (4.5L Stroker, Kelford Cams, 2.3" TRD S/C, Headers, Full exhaust, etc). I am able to delete the rev-hang for manual transmission trucks and also offer revised automatic transmission shift points (upshifts/downshifts) as well as revised torque converter lockup points for improved mileage and lower trans temps.

I address things like the MAF Calibration for various intake systems, Injector scaling for larger/custom injectors, Throttle mapping, VVTi advance, ACIS timing, Ignition advance, Fuel mapping, Torque management optimization, etc..

I can convert trucks to the TRD S/C calibration if they're fitting the Magnusson S/C and cannot find a dealer willing/able to flash the TRD tune. I have a custom made bench flashing harness that enables me to power up the ECU's on a bench outside of the vehicle so I can reprogram VIN numbers in used/junkyard ECU's to match your truck. I also supply pre-tuned ECU's with the TRD calibrations or a Custom HPTuners calibrations.

Pretty much whatever you need engine management wise, I can get you taken care of. If you have a OFFROAD truck and want to get rid of CEL's I can assist there too.

Pricing:
I charge a flat rate of $50 for tuning/support for the lifetime of your current setup.
- All custom tuning requires the use of 4 universal credits from HPTuners ($200)

TRD calibration updates $75 (updates your N/A ECU to TRD S/C spec)

Pre-tuned ECU's starting $400 for HPTuners custom tuned ($225 for TRD S/C calibrations)

Used ECU VIN updates (free with any tuning package above) $20 as stand-alone service

 

I dig it. Id like to get a little more out of my drive train. May have to save up a couple dollars to come n see you.

 

That’s the good shit! Just went on a drive to put the smile back on my face. I didn’t think it would be this enjoyable. Feels like a new truck even tho she’s an ODB at 250k.
