I went to lunch and I couldn't tell why my pants were wet...I knew I didn't poop myself, but I could have been sweating, but I still think the seat was wet.

It has been in the 90 for both temperature and humidity.

I'm constantly watching the weather. How the tempature and pressure patterns change during the day give me a good idea of where there is likely to be more wind on the course during our evening races. We race in a very narrow part of the bay and land effects on the wind pressure can make a huge difference in what "line" a smart captian will pick to the next mark.

Up here in VT, we've had some unseasonable hot weather, upper 80s & 90's w/ some good t-storms. Today its cooler w/ temps in the upper 60s. It gets cool at night. I see some pretty dramatic swings in temps over the years & real big changes in snowfall.

SO, I got a little bored at work today and decided to Thermo. some things around the job site. I used an infrared thermometer. I was told its with in +/- 2*. SO:
My truck in the sun (1:15 p.m.) 142*
    Asphault: 155*
My forehead: 100* ( I was in the sun)
    Dirt: 128*
Space ( Im guessing, but I aimed the thermo straight up at the sun) 74*
Air temp in the shade: 111*

FWIW, My wife and I go to Florida often and both agree that 90* with the humidity is still better than the hell we live in. Last July 4th, I had a blonde moment and actually asked a clerk at a grocery store what it was like there in the summer time!

Update: On my Patio with misters on and 6' off the ground in the shade= 109*

Today was mid 70s. It just started sprinkling so I'm crossing my fingers that we don't lose power....again. Since the 3rd of June, we have lost power each time a storm has come thru, the last time we were without power for 4 days. We have lost about 800 in groceries since the power troubles.

It's been quite cool here this week with temps ranging from mid 60's to low 70's during the day and low-mid 40's at night.
