Yeah, I am enjoying the mini-series event! Both Sunday night, and last night's episodes were pretty good. Nice to have this show back, even if it's only for 6 episodes. The thought behind this series is our modern day conspiracy theories. So any of you that are familiar with those, the X-Files is tackling that stuff.

I've always been a fan and usually watch the whole series every year or so but kinda skip through the Doggett/Reyes ones. Glad it's back, it's hard to see David Duchovny as Mulder now that he's done Californication though. I want him to be more an A-hole and sleep around.

Too poor to list anything interesting.
I guess this isn't the version everyone is watching.

The first two episodes have been pretty great. The 3rd episode next week is supposed to be insane! Can't wait!

That third episode was pretty entertaining, like the X-Files of old. I really hope the show keeps going. If Two Broke Girls can stay on the air this show just might pickup again.

I thought the third episode was pretty weak myself. With only six episodes, I thought they would stay on the original topic.

I believe the third episode is one of the many secret histories of the original conspiracy theory presented in the premiere. Reptilian humanoids supposedly were intelligent beings that are also original inhabitants of Earth, that reside underground. It was interesting to hear "Guy Mann" say how he goes to sleep/statis for 10,000 years at a time.

Rhys Darbys jump at the end was hilarious.

Ah man, episode 4 was disappointing. I thought the first 3 were great. 1 and 2 had me glued and 3 was a good lighthearted approach.

Hopefully they pull out all the stops for 5 and 6.

I liked ep 4. It reminded me of the "Arcadia" episode with the dirt monster just not as funny and more somber cause of the whole Scully story. Her plastic horse face is starting to bug me.

Plastic horse face? I was wondering whats up with the buffed out forehead myself.

I dunno. It's getting too soap opera. Bring on the conspiracy theories and the born again cancer man.

I enjoyed that episode, I just wish there was more closure on just what the hell was actually going on. I guess spirit summoning? It was still pretty good though. More on the suspense side of the spectrum versus last week's cheeky, humorous side. Next week looks to be like another funny one. A young couple of agents that are just like Mulder and Scully. I think the young red head they got for the role is that girl from Super Bad.

I will say that last episode was a bit lame and preachy. Best part was Mulder on shrooms but even that went a little long.

:amen: but Fox is known for fudging good shit up and cancelling good shows, and keeping terrible ones and making even more terrible ones. So we will see. Also a little side note, Fox passed on both pilots for Mad Men and Breaking Bad when they were pitched. Bet they regret those moves. I'm glad they did though. Fox would've ran them into the ground and prematurely cancelled them.

Haven't seen any of these new ones, but I have the first 4 seasons on DVD. IMO, things started to get wonky after that. They should've stayed in BC. The show needed that damp, gray feel to it. Can't get that in LA. "Darkness Falls" is my fave stand-alone episode, I think it even won some environmentalist award or something.
