The X-Files

I think the X files has seen it's day if the last two episodes are what they're offering. The last episode ties in with the first one and looks like better material. I notice they are saying 'season finale' on the final episode and not series finale. Looks like it may be back?

 

I agree with you Shelflife, the show has seen its day. Apart from Ann Jillians fake face they have no more to offer. I doubt the show will be renewed.
It was my favorite show 15 yrs ago, up until Duchovney left.

 

I couldn't get into this one for some reason. Mulder was barely in it and I don't care for the youngins they had from the previous episode. Nobody is willing to pop a cap in Smoking Man even after all the shit he's pulled. So glad I can still watch the X-Files on Netflix to remove the bad taste this revamp has left in my mouth.

 

I feel your pain. I was waiting for Mulder to go Dirty Harry on Smoking man. His Bwa ha ha evil shit is mighty stale. I don't know where they are going with this, but I think it's on life support.

 

This last episode was blue balls at it's finest. Damn these bastards...

 

Given that the last space craft blew up the car and girl inside is it safe to say that they were killed at the end? I'm sure if it gets picked up for more episodes that won't be the case.

 

Well, I watched the X Files last night.... was not impressed! Let it die Fox, the show has seen its day and is long since gone.

 

They brought it back again? Did it pick up where the last one ended?

 

Yes it did but I did not like it enough to remember how it ended.

Wow, how did I miss this thread. I watched the whole series the summer before I started college. One of my all time favorite series, but the re-news season last year was ok. I missed the new episode that started this month, forgot all about it. Doesn't sound good.

 

Just watched "Johnny English Reborn" with my kids tonight.

Reminded me of my childhood. Gillian Anderson is a hottie.

 

Best episode for me is the one where they are in the Olympic mountains forest in Wa state and poachers cut down an old growth tree an released bugs. That’s when I was hooked. For the next few seasons. After that it was

 

I like all seasons up to when Mulder disappeared. After that I didn't like the show as much. I watched a few here and there but I couldn't get into it as much. I liked a few of last seasons episodes but it doesn't hold a candle to the original series.

 

That was a classic. I liked all the random episodes like that too. The never ending cancer man whose about 100 now/ alien conspiracy, Scully's knocked up somehow, Skinner and Mulder shoving each other around, Skinner knows but wont tell bullshit really needs to come to a conclusion or go away.

 

Pretty sure that episode was called Darkness Falls, darkness something. The stand alone nature of it hooked me, and then I did get into all the Muldur's sister, aliens, coverup stuff for a couple years, but once Skinner was aboard, and especially when Terminator 2 cop came on, I was like "meh, done with all this". It just became too convoluted and any potential payoff wasnt worth all the scowls and dark lighting and

 

I watched the premiere episode, and I thought it was still pretty good. It's going off the angle that the last season was a premonition, or maybe we are being presented with a parallel universe? I still haven't seen episode two yet. I thought the premiere was still enjoyable though.

 

Can the previous (this season) episodes be watched online for free?
I still would like to give it a chance since I use to be such a fan.

 

I think you can get a 24 hr pass on Fox and watch it on their website. Try to login with provider but check the "provider not listed" link then you get a preview pass. Or get a free preview from Hulu, they usually have Fox shows.
