I just finished installing my MillerCat shield a week ago and so far I don't hear any rattles. Maybe given time? Not sure but so far I don't hear anything from the shield.

Do you recommend the stainless over the aluminum? I see the aluminum as being lighter and certainly cheaper. The thieves would certainly pass no matter what it is made of IMHO. Thanks!

Aluminum you can easily cut with a sawsall (Think Soda can). Stainless is much harder- you'd go through a ton of blades trying to cut that! Either way they are crack heads looking for an easy score. They just might think twice when they see it covered.

I have a stainless steel MillerCat and no rattles for me. I have read the aluminum version is thinner material which might be prone to rattle. Also I bought washers and lock washers for the 3 bolts that go through the crossmember. Even though not on my parts list, I felt they were needed. All my bolts and screws having lock washers may help keep my shield snug.

Talked to my skid plate company and they are developing anti-theft wings onto their mid-plate. Waiting to order.

I have the miller cat shield stainless and never had 1 rattle since I installed. No noise ever. Not even any kind of wind noise.

Had mine cut off last week by some scumbag thieves, got a new one installed already but was on the fence of spending 300-400 on a shield. Today my mechanic said I should get one because everybody around my area knows someone who has had their catty stolen. I’m going to invest in the shield I guess because I hate worrying about this crap, and I don’t even live in a bad area

I went with Caliraisedled cat shields. They have had some hiccups with their first version but seem to have them dialed in now and customer service has been incredible.

Random stuff. Oh! and converted to non ADD 4x4.
Hey @CaliRaisedLed will these fit a 2g PreRunner? One of my clients neighbor is asking. He’s a victim of cat theft. Ask me what to prevent from happening again, I have some ideas but your seems to get it covered.
