Biggest concern with modding my truck has been that I'll use it, and since it's my DD I am pretty hesitant on playing with her. She's still getting the locker at some point (summer?) But I picked up a little toy to keep me satisfied until I have a second vehicle for work

    Would.

There's a guy in Palmdale that builds Baja bugs out of the new body style beetles. Little suckers look like a blast. I want one. Loud exhaust, long travel and no fenders, FTW!

Sounds like crumco IMO. We just picked up a crumco chassis to race class 5 for the smaller local races (Lucerne, Barstow etc)

As for the truck build, 33" general grabber at2s have been ordered, hoping they arrive and can get them on this weekend

Guess I ordered the wrong size. 285/70r17 at2s going on today. Might be a good thing since I don't want to hack a bunch up

20160914_223606.jpg well as of September 14th I sold the baja ghia. After talking with many fabricators and builders it would cost me at least another 10k to get the baja where I wanted (if not more) so ithat went up for sale and sold within the month.

Fast forward to September 26th, went and dropped coin on a 2016 yamaha yxz1000r. Finally got a toy I can abuse and without jeopardizing my DD. 2000000296_480px.jpg
So with that problem solved it's back to simple mods for the truck. Changing directions with the stereo again, going to go with one 10" ARC Audio black series sub and put ARC audio 6.5 components in the doors with an ARC amp. That should be on its way around Halloween time.

Cross posted but I'm beyond pumped for this IMG_20161001_143503.jpgShould maybe start a secondary build page for this since it'll be seeing more time and money than the ninjataco lol.
Already pulled the baffle and readjusted the throttle to take out the dummy lag. Crazy to use a clutch and gears in a sxs but this shit is buttery. Have only taken it down the street twice up to 2nd gear but damn this thing pulls. 10,500 redline, 3 cylinder, 100+hp.

    Plans are
    Weller Racing full exhaust
    Weller Racing ECU reflash
    Fabwerx baja cage
@CaliRaisedLed 32" double row LED bar
    Simpson harnesses
Beadlocks with zero offset and stock tires
Beadlocks with zero offset with paddle tires.

Back to hiding in a hole for months on end. Time to start working the 60hr shifts again lol

    Bored
So thats interesting to see the taco from last march until now. Haven't done much to the taco. Got a Bestop through @eccracer104 (highly recommend using him for all autoanything purchases)
Picked up leds for the bed through @mattgecko (also highly recommended' most complete kit ive seen)
As for the yxz its pretty much done for now. Installed everything i want without tearing into the motor. Still pulls 2 fat dudes to 80mph through the chop smoothly just fine and trying to buy a house so i cant justify dropping 5k on forced induction.

    Anyways.... carry on.

I just looked at the video I took from when you took me for a ride in the yxz, but I swear we hit 86. And that was with two fat dudes. That little fucker is quick!
