    These things are crap...!!!!

I just found out that both of mine are failing....almost a 800 dollar job for both up here in Canada at Midas :(

I'm going to attempt this myself, but I just want to clarify what I need in order to do this..

I know I need two bearing assemblys: Would these do or should I get different ones? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/e...50519118195&ssPageName=ADME:X:RTQ:MOTORS:1123

Also, I think I need the oil seals and O rings that go along with it...Is that correct? Does anyone have the toyota part numbers for these?

This I know is going to be a PITA.....

    Thanks

Does the Haynes manual have it in there? I know the Chilton's doesn't! All it says is "take it to a professional". Damn a-holes.

    Oil seals. No. O-rings. Yes

They should come with the o-ring and dust seal

Also, you need a large press to pop out the old and press in the new ones. I had to take mine to a local shop and have them do the pressing part. Just fyi.

Parts from the dealer no have o-ring? I guess that's expected.

I don't think so (it's been a few months since I did this).
I got my bearings from CarQuest and had to go to the dealer to get the o-rings. I pretty sure you can just re-use the ones you have if they are not torn or cracked.

We did that with Fred's. Just cleaned them up and greased them. Some of the bearings shown on Rockauto show o-rings.
